So this morning I was headed down to the Staff Lounge before starting work to check all of my stuff online, and I notice there's a dog standing on the steps. It started growling so I went inside, but after a few minutes it calmed down and started to be friendly. Apparently this dog has been lost for quite some time, and I could tell as well from the first look, since it was incredibly thin, and had a gash on its head.

We called the owner and he came to pick up the dog. When he came the dog was jumping all around him. Now I know how happy people are when they find their lost pet. And it certainly was a nice start to the day

My mom found a lost boxer a while ago on her way to my aunt's. She did what she had to do at my aunt's, came home and picked me up, and we went to the animal hospital and dropped it off there.

Another boxer related to it was brought in, which is highly unusual. The dog my mom found has a broken jaw (so his tongue is always out) and had been neglected. It jumped straight into the car when my mom stopped for it.

Once it was better, they moved it to the animal shelter. A while later, some rescue place adopted it. They're doing surgery to fix his jaw.

I love these stories. They are making me feel warm inside : D

I once saved a hedgehog that looked like, to my 5 year old self, that it was about to get run over. It was just sitting in the middle of someones drive in front of a car which was on a slant so I either thought the car was going to roll down and squash it or the owner would get in and drive over the hedgehog. I had to save it from this impending doom so I went to get my mum and we took it into our back garden and put it in the wendy house with a bowl of milk. I called him spikey and wanted to keep him as my pet, I even painted pictures of him ^^. Sadly the next morning he was gone from my life... but he drank the milk (or my parents threw the milk into a bush or something). I was sad.
