So, you guys know how to make clear, crystal-like ice, right? You use purified water and boil it.

Now, apply that to Frozen. When Elsa is her powers consciously, the ice is crystallized. But when she's panicking (like when they were kids, and she's reacting to striking Anna), she isn't thinking, and the ice is white.

The whole theme behind the film is that "Love will melt a frozen heart," right? So, love is a representation of warmth; like warm water you need to make crystal ice.

Do with that what you will.

Flynn and Rapunzel were present and I didn't even know it.

Holy crap, I just watched this a few hours ago and I didn't notice either. Apparently we now officially know that the two films are in the same world....Though Flynn looks older, so I'm giving it maybe 2 years since the film

It's actually hinted by the filmmakers that the parents died on their way to Rapunzel's/Flynn's wedding

Seriously? Where and when did they hint at that? Though it certainly would explain a lot. Maybe if we got Frozen in KHIII we might be able to get Tangled at the same time

It's not really hinted in the film. A while back, there was an AMA on Reddit with people who worked on the film (including the directors). One of the questions asked was along the lines of "So, where were the parents going" to which one of the directors simply stated "A wedding". Three years pass in the movie between the parents death and Coronation day. Frozen came out three years after Tangled.

Don't care now, I'm officially taking that as the story, and we now have 2 films in the same world. No matter what anyone says to me, I will only believe that Tangled and Frozen are in the same world. Plus the animation is practically the same, so maybe you could even look at that as another little bit (don't care what you say, it's just fun to see matching things)

Yeah, it's definately fun to think about. The only thing that really sets them apart is that their origins come from two different writers. And hey, you can either say that spying them in the crowd only cements it, or it's just a fun easter egg (mostly because they both had the same animation teams.

There's also a theory that the ship that Elsa and Anna's parents were on was the same as the sunken ship in The Little Mermaid. I personally think that's bullship, though.

Actually, they only had Flynn and Rapunzel in there because they didn't have the budget to make all the extras from scratch.
