Anyone noticed how each has used a wooden object as an object/toy? Sora had that wooden sword. Roxas, the wooden stick. And Ven had the wooden keyblade. Coincidence or was it done on purpose?

LOL, when I read the topic I thought it was something like "OMG THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT SORA IS ACTUALLY THE DEVIL", LOL. Anyways, most games have wooden weapons that are basic/cheap, so yeah.

Yeah, I was just wondering if Nomura did that on purpose with those three characters

I noticed this too a while ago when BBS came out. :D Funny that someone actually brought it up. Haha!

You could go about this in three ways.

    1) Nomura did it on purpose because those three characters are connected.

    2) Nomura got lazy and just gave them a wooden toy for combat practice.

    3) Technically, a wooden weapon is a common object to use for combat practice in most games and sometimes real life (depends on what the real life situation is. o.0 ).

Yes, those paper cuts can be quite gruesome.

Nomura stated at some interviews that a Keyblade is something that needs a intermediare to be accessed, for Riku's case Way to the dawn, uses Soul eater as a medium. Roxas/Sora/Ventus all used a wooden toy before, so Maybe their keyblades are made by or use the toys as mediuns... that again shows how their destines are connected and stuff.

I think it's probably just a reoccurring object in the series; the scene with Roxas picking up the wooden stick perhaps not, but I think it was a definite nod to Sora's wooden sword days with Ven's wooden Keyblade.

I noticed that too right after watching the wooden keyblade scene in BBS. never thought much of it though, I dont think it was done on purpose.
