Digital Art Some Random Stuff

Since I'm currently going through a Pokemon craze, I've been editing sprites a lot.

As you may know, Myst, DarkTraitor and I are making a Gym Leader Castle sort of game. I was bored, so I decided to make a "What if?" VS screen for my Gym Leader.



I also made one for DarkTraitor's Gym Leader




CnC please. I really like editing sprites, and I'd very much like to know what I can improve :)

 

I think these look fantastic! The only thing I would say to fix is on DarkTraitor's Gym Leader VS, I would make her a little bit smaller so that her face fits within the color, as you did in yours, so it is not hanging out into the negative white space. :) Doing so would also enable you to rid of some of the white negative space above her as well. Maybe flipping her to face the left rather than the right too so that she is facing her opponent instead of sort of glancing back at them. :D

Overall, I really like these! You did a great job on them! Awesome work! ^-^

 

I like the second one the best because of the witch's hat and all. Is it okay if I could edit it a bit? :)

 

These are great. I loved the Witch, don't really see that choice of costume much in Pokemon.

There is one thing I would say though. If you were to remove the white background, and save the file as a .png so it remains transperant, it would look better on background walls (like this one)

Pretty neat. Working with sprites can be super time consuming so bonus points for being that patient. The text seems really out of place though? Maybe if it matched the 'VS' text it'd be better but it's just...black and there. White would be better, and an outline or shadow since if it was white it'd be hard to see without something like that.

 

Wow--those are really nice. I can almost see them as sprites in the next Pokemon Gen game.

I made this because Crystal was replaced in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver by Lyra. I DO like Lyra, but Crystal's just the first female protagonist who deserved much more than being discarded for someone new.

 

Now that's a nice sprite. Maybe you can add a background to it and it'll look a lot better.
