I'm still right, I see nothing wrong with my working.

2k/3 - k + 1/2 = k/6 +51/6

4k - 6k +3 = k + 51

3k = -48

k = -16

I wouldn't feel too bad, I start my Theoretical Physics course in just over 2 weeks and it is full of maths =D

 

Yeah I did a mistake in 1/2. You're right it's -16

I hate Algebra.

 

Algebra is about as basic as you can get in maths. Even the higher level stuff works using the same basic rules you use at the start.
