despite all better judgement I went ahead and started playing this immediately after Days. Really liking it, but it's so hard, at least in critical that is. It gives one seemingly impossible task after another. People said DDD was hard. No, no, this is hard. My god, those running cards in Wonderland, I can't even get past 2.
my goal is to have a 100% file for each KH game on the hardest difficulty, so rather than playing it once on easy and once on hard, I figured i'd start with hard. It's also a nice challenge. I got past the cards btw, so yeah.
well in some games you have to unlock the hardest difficulty (which I find stupid, but whatevs). So maybe it's always good to start as a wussy and make your way to being a manly man.
No way. You should always good to the hardest available difficulty and then work your way backwards so you can get achievements and trophies more easily in your subsequent playthroughs.
Since you can switch the difficulty, I just set it to max for certain goals and lesser levels later. And the cards, no matter what difficulty are hard. Also, I would take it off of Critical when your forced to fight the recolored Guardian Heartless, that freaking think is hard no matter what difficulty, but in Critical, it is a literal NIGHTMARE. It can deal so many different status effects it is insane. And it teleports and has short and long range attacks. its literal only vulnerability are attacks that can do damage from behind. Outside of bosses, I have never faced a enemy so difficult. And in order to gain a 100% file, you must kill one. They only appear in portals though. But they will appear at any time in the game and do not disappear until you either reset, or beat it.
this I play through on the hardest difficulty for the satisfaction, and then if I want to replay to freshen up on the story I'll play on the easiest difficulty.[DOUBLEPOST=1357537627][/DOUBLEPOST] I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I knew that I put it on an easier difficulty during the hard parts. Also, there's a trophy that requires you play through on critical or proud for the entire game.
You can replay the story and it still works. Also, I only did it when I just couldn't figure out how to beat it. I, however never turned down the difficulty of any of the bosses besides the Wonderland one. Lock on and jumping timing is extremely important. Also, if he shoots the giant lava ball's, do nothing but shoot them. NOTHING.
oh yeah forgot about the trophies/'chieves. usually you unlock all the "Difficulty" trochieves of the difficulty you played and any below it, so you have a good point.
