If someone likes my post, how do I like their like to let them know I liked that they liked what I said about likes?

The whole like system is pointless. I used rep to send short private messages either correcting their error or showing approval. It helped me keep pointless things out of threads while still letting someone know exactly how I felt about their post without calling needless attention to it. This system let's everyone see how liked a post is and has removed the ability to add comments or neg. Then there's the fact that everyone's like is worth the same so it's basically worth less than nothing to have likes on a post. I'm never going to use this system and I suggest others ignore it as well.

So you see staff, the people want both rep and likes to be disabled. As both are pointless, broken systems.

Technically it's better than the rep system, as one like will always = one like.

Rep was a small speedbump on the way to premium. You couldn't just post. You needed rep, no matter how small the requirement was.

But that's wrong. You didn't need any rep to get premium for the past... three years, I believe? So what you're saying is that rep was worth more, but only pre-2009. I'm surprised I never saw you complain about this before the move, since clearly this is a huge deal.

All I'm getting from this is that we're allowed to double post now.

Rep has not mattered in years.
And you're only learning this now? D:

Then again I only learn it like a year ago or so but still.

    Pretty much this.

You know, you can always PM (or whatever it's called now) someone with a quote of the post and tell them your thoughts and give back constructive criticism. I mean leaving someone with negative rep is leaving them with a post that you're saying can not be improved this time when an edit might have fixed it all. PMs would offer a great chance of discussion and conversation on now and future matters, actually liking improving any CnC you give then with rep/

And it's not worthless, it means everyone's positive opinions on posts or VMs is equal to everyone else, instead of people with massive rep giving huge boosts to some. Everyone's 'worth' on opinions is equal now.
