Alright so one thing that confuses me

Ventus Vs Vanitas " inside Ventus heart" and they fight and he defeats him and his un-complete X-blade.

    so my question is

why the hell is Aqua fighting him outside and with a complete X-blade?

is the battle simontatius and if so why is vantias X-blade complete when he faces Aqua

this is a minor thing i know but it confuses me to hell and i whana know! D:

my ghuess is that Ventus Defeats vanitas, and there for Aqua can beat vanitas on the outside?...i dunno lol

I think what happened was that Aqua defeated him and the X-blade. The X-Blade became unstable and Vanitas and Ven had a battle within Vanitas in order to determine whether the X-blade would exist beside Vanitas or be destroyed beside Ven.

I agree. I think the battle between Aqua and fused Van/Ven comes first. Then the battle within between Vanitas and Ven takes place when "they" get knocked out by Aqua. If you notice with the Aqua battle, when her Keyblade glows with power she started cutting into the X-blade and then cuts off part of the handle (which are the two parts slightly missing in the Van vs Ven battle cutscene).

Aqua defeated him first (and you see that Vanitas is in control of Ven's body at that time), therefore damaging the X-Blade which I believe was already unstable due to Ventus's refusing to merge with Vanitas. When he says "our union was not finished, " it's referring to Ventus's resistance. When they battle Vanitas can still use part of the X-Blade and it's power because even if it's not complete it had been forged and so it still had some of it's power.

Argeed, I believe Aqua & Mickey vs Ventus-Vantias was the first battle and then came Ventus vs Vantias within, there is also the matter of Ven refusing to help in the X-Blade's creation since the power of the heart is without a doubt, strong since Aqua with ehr regular keyblade with enpowered by both Ven and Terra through D-Link was able to push back and dent the X-Blade.

i thought about it as if the x-blade was "loading up" on the outside it looked complete and it would have been too, however on the inside it wasn't complete. kinda like the x-blade aqua saw was a 85% complete, it looks done but it really wasn't.

While everyones' theories seem to make sense, it doesn't really follow the timeline.

    Aqua gets knocked out.
Ven/Vanitas fight and even go inside his mind with an incomplete X-blade right after their fight.

What you guys are all saying is that Aqua defeated Ven/Vanitas almost instantaneously when Ven and Vanitas had their little inner heart battle. That makes no sense. What does make sense is that the two fused after Ven beat Vanitas. The thing is, it didn't turn out to have a happy ending. Remember Terra vs Terranort? Terra defeated and completely crushed Terranort using his sheer will, guess who was still in control?

What I'm saying is, just because Ventus beat Vanitas, doesn't mean that he had won control of his body. Terra completely raped the stuffings out of Terranort and yet he wasn't in complete control. My theory is that Aqua woke up right when Ventus's fight was over, which is why he was dazed when she went to him. He attacked her when Ventus had "won" the fight and that was when their union was complete.

Aqua's story is the last in chronological order. It makes more sense this way although it's not simpler.

I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense that way to me. This is what I think and in the order it happened

    1) Aqua was knocked out by Vanitas
    2) Ven thaws out to save Aqua from Vanitas
    3) Ven defeats Vanitas and so the two merge together again (Vanitas forces Ven to merge but yeah...)
These three are for sure in order to everyone... I hope.
    4) Aqua wakes up and she and the king fight posessed Ventus with his X-Blade.
    5) On the outside he's defeated and the battle in Ven's heart begins...

And you all know the rest...

How does that make any sense though? If it's in the order you say it is, there's a massive gap in Ven's timeline. Let's start from here in your timeline...

    1. Aqua gets knocked out.
    2. Ventus fights Vanitas outside of their heart.
    3. Ventus and Vanitas merge and do nothing while Aqua fights?
    4. Aqua breaks the X-Blade
    5. Ventus and Vanitas finally decide to stop sitting around and fight inside Ven's heart.

Yeah, that makes no sense. There's a big time gap that nobody supporting this theory has tried explaining. How it should logically be is:

    1. Aqua is knocked out.
    2. Ven beats Vanitas outside their heart.
    3. Ven then fuses and proceeds to own Vanitas.
    4. They fuse anyways and thus properly create the X-blade.
    5. Aqua then uses plotpower to own Vanitas.

Vanitas said that the X-blade was broken because their union wasn't finished, not because Aqua broke it. If Aqua's fight started and ended first, Ven/Vanitas probably might not have even had a chance to battle inside their heart since the X-Blade had gone haywire.

Like I said before, just because Ventus defeated Vanitas doesn't mean he gets control of his body. It only makes more sense that Vanitas was in control since Ven's heart ended up resting inside of Sora's right after his fight.

I probably haven't put all these points in a very good order. But they're the observations I believe point to the Aqua battle THEN the Ven/Van heart battle:

They fused automatically because Vanitas’s body couldn’t sustain itself alone anymore (being defeated by Ven in physical state). There wouldn't need to be a struggle for the actual fusion because the game pretty much stated that when the two fought, they would fuse and make the X-blade. So the X-blade was forged when they fuse at that point.

Aqua battle: "Team up with Mickey, defeat Vanitas, break his hold over Ventus!" I would think this means that Ven's heart still dwells within the fused Van/Ven.

Vanitas: “Our union was not finished.” It seemed to be bit of an unexpected/unpleasant surprise to Vanitas, afterall the X-blade looked whole in the physical world. Sora’s heart is probably what prevented a fully successful 100% fusion and X-blade forging-or it was Ven’s reluctance to be under Van’s control.

Right after Aqua attacks Van/Ven with D-link power, the X-blade flies up and has that brownish glow and broken appearance it does in Ventus and Vanitas’s heart battle. I think when the blade is going haywire on the outside is when Ven faces Vanitas the second time.

Heart platform: At beginning of the Ven vs Vanitas battle, it has both of them pictured on the platform. After the battle, the X-blade flashes and is gone, Vanitas dissolves into light, and the platform just has Ven on it. Which I believe that Vanitas no longer has his dark influence of Ven's heart/body (their hearts are one again)-Ven's back to his original state before MX divided him.

“The X-blade is made of your heart, too, idiot. If you destroy it, your heart will vanish forever.”
After Ventus beats Vanitas the second time, Ven’s heart then leaves/vanishes. Since Ven’s heart is gone, it means that he destroyed the X-blade (and Ven’s heart being present seems to have been a requirement for the X-blade to exist. So if his heart is gone, so is the X-blade.) And since Ven's heart is complete again and leaves, Vanitas would no longer exist as a separate being (he'd be part of Ven again).

After fight with Aqua, the dark suit Van/Ven had on changes back to Ven’s armor. The X-blade also breaks up here.

And I doubt the Terra(Lingering Sentiment I assume you mean) vs Terranort battle can be likened to this situation. Theirs was pretty much just a physical battle so I doubt there would've been any way for Terranort to be controlled by Terra from just a physical beating from his sheer will (though it may have spurred Terra's heart to try and fight back later in Aqua's story). Terra's heart vs MX's within Terranort plays the major role of that struggle.

There are more conspicuous gaps in Ven's timeline than that.

    Allow me.

Vanitas had complete control. Aqua beat the living hell out of him. That weakened his grip on Ventus's heart so that he could awaken inside himself and begin beating Vanitas back. It makes more sense than your hypothesis, because why else would the X-blade have the exact same damage Aqua left on it when Vanitas and Ventus fought?

The supposition here is that Ventus was resisting subconsciously, even if he couldn't dive into his heart to fight Vanitas face-to-face. He rejected his darkness before.

No, that's what caused it to go haywire.

When is that stated? In the true ending? Because I just finished Ventus's story and there's no mention of it.

Actually there is. But they are much more blunt about it in the final episode. There was a line at the very end of Ven's Story that went something like "Where am I? This place feels so familiar. This Warmth. This is your Heart." Which connects back to the begining of the game, Ven at destiny islands when he comes in contact with a new born heart. The newly born heart being Sora.

I'll post evidence for the simultanious fighting later so that this thread had a full spectrum out there, right now though I'm on an unstable internet connection so I don't want to type all that out and risk losing it.
