I went to a big media store with my mum yesterday. Bought myself a external hard disc and helped a kid buy Black Ops, cuz he wasn't 18 and all.
Then I went on and looked at the PS3 games. They had so many games, it was bedazzling. I was the only one in that path, and then suddenly, a game fell out of it's shelf.
Of course, I picked it up, only to be stunned by the awesomeness of the cover, as well as the name. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be and decided it was fate and bought it without even looking at the backcover (yeah I'm cool like that).

I remembered you were obsessed by it, so I ask you, is Dragon Age: Origins a good game and will I *** at the mere sight of the awesomeness of this game?

Dragon Age: Origins is a pretty decent game.
But it's much, much better on the PC.

Okay so I'm playing, and it's quite a cool game. I'm not far at all, but one thing annoys me already.
I'm a dwarf, and everytime I attack he says stuff like "It shall be done", "very well" and stuff like that.
It's ****ing annoying, how do I turn this off?

 

You don't need to spam the normal attack button. You select the target by attacking once and then it loops until it dies. It is still an annoying part of the game, I wish they would shut up or at least be given more lines, but that should help you suffer it slightly less often. Different characters will say different things, so you can also keep some of your sanity in that respect by shuffling characters from time to time.

I forget exactly, it's been a while since I last played. I think it is somewere in the L2 radial menu. And obviously, it requires you to have other members in your party. Just need to say that since I don't know how far you are.

 

The story is great, but the combat is so boring.

 

I am starting to get the same feeling already.

I find that annoying too, I just got used to it. But if you really want it gone I think you can go to options and turn off party chatter, but sadly you wont hear any hilarious banter you will have later. Also dwarfs ftw.

 

The combat in DAO II looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better! Not to mention more blood!

 

And it costs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more money.
One of the main reasons I bought this was because it was cheap.

 

Not to mention the graphics looks much better too. If Dragon Age had real time, non-turnbased ish, or whatever you call it combat, it would be one of the best games ever. Like Mass Effect, only Medevil

 

And it's not even out yet. xD

It looks like it'll turn out that way. I'v ordered the Signature Edition.

 

Everywhere else I hear people bitching about the new combat "It looks too JRPG ITS NOT REALLISTICCC!!" Well last time I checked creating fire from the palm of your hands is not realistic either.

Based off the two screenshots we have I don't see a big difference. And considering those screenshots don't even have a HUD on them I can't say much of anything about combat. I know there are trailers also but I don't trust them after the first game.

 

A few gameplay videos leaked. Sadly they got removed after an hour or two. But from what I saw it looks alot more better than the first game.
