So My "Purchase" of FFVIII Is Almost Done...

Is it a good game? Seriously, can I hear a non-fanboy's opinion? My friends are useless.

 

Squall says "whatever" throughout the entire game.
But other than that, it's pretty hip.

 

Yea I've heard Squall's emo-ness in the game is pretty annoying. Thanks, though. At least I have a hope that it'll be an enjoyable game.

 

I've only played it a little bit, but I've had fun so far.

One problem: The Guardian Force (the espers of the game, sorta) animations take FOREVER. And considering how you're going to be using them a lot, it gets kinda annoying.

 

God, I need to ask my friend for her copy of the game NAO. >D

 

I can't beat that game. D: I've had it for a while, but I totally got mixed up with the Junctioning in the beginning, and now I'm stuck because of it. It's a pretty confusing system, and I didn't understand what it had to do with leveling up. Compared to games like FFX and FFVII, I really don't think that it's a very good game. It's not bad, but it definitly isn't that good.

 

According to what a friend told me FFVIII can be quite annoying when fighting, I forget why I think he said it had something to do with the Guardian Forces and button sequences.

 

Something tells me these Guardian Forces are going to give me an ulcer.

Oh trust me.
When you learn Boost for pandemona, you'll be wondering why you ever hated the long GF attack sequences.
