Not even through the first bar of the Dragon's HP, and he's almost out of Magic. I cringed every time he healed whenever he took ONE hit. I cried. I couldn't watch after the first fail. It was too painful.

    Sins:

    1. Trying to glide away from the tracking flames when Guard works much better. He found the thorn platforms. Those are the best for blocking the flames. Plus, EXP!
    2. Walking into nearly every shockwave.
    3. Continuing to attack when he'll FALL INTO FIRE AFTER THE COMBO. Sorry.
    4. It works better to get Beast and Goofy, and just overburden them with all the Ethers and Potions you can nab. They'll attack better, and both party members are going to faint repeatedly anyway. It's pointless to use Donald.
    5. HEALING YOURSELF AFTER EVERY HIT! JUST.... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!? WHO WERE YOU FIGHTING BEFORE THAT YOU WERE CONFIDENT IN HEALING SO FREQUENTLY, KILLADRONE?! WINNIE-THE-POOH!?!?!?!?

    Deep breaths. Deep. Breaths.

    Case in Point:

Most if not all of us absolutely perished under the mighty dragon. If you ask me, it's really the first time the game doesn't reward you with just randomly smacking things with the Keyblade. Hook might have come before that. But the dragon was definitely a different monster, no pun intended.

Was he really freaking out at that boss? Sure it's tricky at first, but after that it's really just the first boss you deal with that doesn't let you just spam the X button...more like run around in a circle away from flames, spam X button, heal once or twice, rinse and repeat. Oh, and I think him having the Fairy Harp keyblade doesn't make things easier. I would always go to the Colosseum and get Metal Chocobo by this point because of its reach and strength and use it for this and the fight against Riku/Ansem. Still, it does bring memories back of my first time playing the game....the one time I wish there was a skip command and there never was

Remember how in the original game, once you lost the Keyblade to Riku it stayed inaccessible until you fought him? I had either the Fairy Harp or the Wishing Star Keyblade last equipped before fighting him. I wished for a skip command then too. So... so many retries. And the dragon wasn't much easier for pre-preteen me. AND I had the strategy book.

Really? I always had Olympus equipped. I never bothered touching Fairy Harp or Wishing Star because one was so short and the other had an annoying design to me. Riku wasn't too terrible, but I do remember having to go through and pushing the button so many times because I kept dying as well....I think. My memory of that game is somewhat blurred
