Ah. It's probably better. You don't have to read about a family having their carriage stuck in a ditch for some 15 chapters.
Well it does follow a storyline, and there is a couple of stories about a carriage stuck in a ditch, but what kind of sucked about it was the ending of the first book. Spoiler: Cambridge Latin Course, book I The entire cast lives in Pompeii. Vesuvius explodes. Prettymuch everyone dies except for a couple characters who go on to become the main characters in the next book. A lot of others die in future books as well, I think it was because it was trying to teach us all the different words for 'die' or 'kill,' of which there are a lot. >__>
