Oh I know that feeling. I got the game recently as well (last week if I recall. Memory is bad.) and I started it around maybe 1PM and I look at my clock it was like 9PM. So I can relate to an extent.

    It's too addicting.
It's been years since I've been addicted to a game like this, that need to rule the world is too strong. XD

Indeed. In my first game I had the strongest military in the world, took over Poland (I got tired of their shit) and France (they attacked my friend Portugal), and was the only one who made a nuclear bomb before the World Congress passed a bill that prevented the building of nukes. AND YET, I aimed for a science victory. I seriously resisted the urge to take over the world. But now I'm going to take over the world.

Almost the same happened to me. Instead of Poland making the world congress stop me from building nukes it was Rome which was the empire with the most allies. In response I transferred what nukes I had to my closest city to Rome and fired them off. Now I own Rome and one of their puppet states. Now I'm after the rest of Ceaser's empire with my death robots and xcom soldiers. He brought it on himself. XD

I only had one bomb (as that was all I could make before the they anti-nuke bill passed) and I used it in my war against Poland. I went to war with Poland because every World Congress meeting (which Poland hosted) they would always, always try to make themselves the World Leader and if it wasn't for me they would be because they had the most delegates.

Augustus is such a dick. He thinks he's so cool with his great hair and delicious salad.

Currently I'm looking into mods, so far there are some really cool ones.

Again almost the same story here. Rome had the most delegates except in my world congress everyone voted for themselves.
I'll probably look into the mods later, but first Ceaser must pay. D=<
    ...and after work.

Yeah, AI is very selfish and it was easy to stop them in such matters.

They got some cool stuff, one guy made every Mass Effect race their own civilization which is pretty cool if you like ME. Though I'm not sure how to get mods on my computer. :\

ME was what got me to buy my 360 in the first place, if it was available on the ps3 at the time I would have gotten a ps3 instead. XD
Anyways, not sure about mods on this game, I just started playing it.

Well if you ever wanted to find out what would happen if the Krogan lead by Wrex teamed up with MSF lead by Big Boss and went to war against Gilgamesh and Princess Celestia you know where to go. XD

So what Civ are you playing as? I started with Japan.

Salah din, from the top of my head? He was in a Civ game, not sure which.

To add to the talk, I always pick Genghis Khan, since he is the only worthy conqueror of the world, and I shall bring him the heads of those that oppose him!

And on the mods, you guys have your games registered under the Steam library right?

Genghis Khan is a pretty cool guy, but I didn't appreciate him subverting my influence over the city state of Sofia. >:C

I bought Civ 5 on Steam so I would assume so. I could be wrong. :\

Ah well mods are easy to do then. Just go to your Game Library, click on Sid's Civ 5, and click on Browse Steam Workshop. Steam Workshop is on a few games, like Skyrim, Civ and a few others, where modders upload their mods to steam and basically steam does all the hard work of modding for you.
Browse mods, click on the mod, if you like the look of it, click subscribe and either instantly or soon after, Steam will download that mod onto your compute for you, once it's done, launch the game and you should have the mod available for you to use.
Really easy compared to manual modding.

    Hope that helps.

Ah, thank you. I need to remember this. I probably should write this down somewhere.
    Do you have any mods?

Not for Civ, I take the game a bit historically based to want to mod in Salarians or Klingons.... yet.

I have a load for Skyrim, it's like a totally different game sometimes.

Not even mods for actual real life civilizations?

    Like what?

    I'm reading how to install custom music for a mod. Most complicated thing ever and I don't understand! ;_;
