so I spent a good $50 buying ME3 DLC

only to find out that all I have room for is the "From Ashes" expansion. No Omega. No Leviathan. AND NO CITADEL.

delete some things you dont touch or wont touch for a while. they'll still be on your psn account so you can go back and redownload them later.

 

So delete some of your ****, or transfer it to a USB

 

I don't have a single PSN game on it, most of my old saves have been deleted, and I don't use it for music or video or anything AT ALL.
Also, for some reason it won't let me transfer saves or games to ANY USB.

I need to free up like 3000 MB. ;-;

Before going after save games go first for game data as probably you don't have 300 mb in saves..
I often delete games I am not currently playing (that install themselves). I have a 160g HD, maybe is time to get a new one.

They made upgrading the HDD on PS3 laughably easy, and storage comes dirt cheap these days. Still, if you aren't storing media files on your PS3 I have no idea what would take up THAT much space. Some of the instal data can be pretty heavy handed, but you would have to have a crapton of games installed for it to end up like that.

Also the USB transfer should work. The only catch is that it needs to be formated to FAT32.

 

It's an old one back from '07. I've bought too many games to count, and I've deleted all the install data & saves I know I'll never touch again.

Ah, I see. Well, I remember that PS+ members were able to copy and paste things to an external drive without a problem (I think I managed to transfer an Arkham Asylum save onto a USB during the 30 day period after the PSN hack). But thanks for the tip. I'll try it out and see what works.

 

Mine is actually an old model as well. Sweet, sweet hardware backwards compatibility. How I love you so.
