Finally, we get to experience those master thief moves through their creators!

I've gotta say, Sanzaru is making me excited for the future of the Sly franchise. They're putting a lot of love into it all and they're adding touches that'll make it even sweeter to be a master thief again.

You serious?! Dude, Rioichi was my favorite ancestor. I suppose this will be an awesome feature, having ancestors help you throughout the game, since it is "Thieves in Time."

I suspect there will be a major subplot with his father, since we have yet to see his face and no little about him other than the story at the beginning of Sly Cooper and a half torn picture of him in the Cooper vault in Sly 3.

His father might not show up considering all the mystery surrounding him.

Sanzaru could easily go wrong with him from the voice actor to his appearance. It's too much of a risk. Also, wouldn't it create a type of paradox plotline?
Bently would probably start yelling about "Sly, you can't tell him anything about his future! If you do, you might disappear!", or something along those lines.

Rioichi does look pretty sweet! Glad to hear they're letting us play as the ancestors since they play a significant role in the overall story. I wonder how many they'll make playable characters. Guess that depends on the number of chapters/time periods they visit.

Really? That's great to hear that Sly 4 will come. I thought it were just 3.

I hope we see a lot of Coopers, play with them seems so fun, playing with Sly already is fun, but an army of Coopers? =]

Well it would definitely be a great addition to the story, poetic justice if you will. But I can see where that would screw things up... It will be interesting as to how it will be played out.

Yeah, It would be nice to know we could play as the other ancestors as well. The only thing that gets me is: Rioichi had "Sai Cooper canes", but why does he have a "bo-staff" cane?

    IF it's played out.

Like I said, it would be tricky to get Sly and his father together as we've never seen his face. Plus, his only thief move involved
sliding on lasers. Pretty cool, but he's more of a tech-nerd than a thief imo.

On top of that, they've got so many time periods and ancestors to choose from (Arabia, Middle Ages, Egypt, Wild West, pre-WWI I believe, more pirates, pre-historic, etc.). Sucker Punch left the possibilities of a fourth game wide open through the playing out of the Cooper Vault sequence at the end of the third.

Besides, if he and his father had to fight off the Fiendish Five... so much paradox~

I am really excited for this game. I loved the first 3 games, and I am glad that Sanzaru is continuing it. I would be weary normally if another company takes over the legacy, but given Sanzaru did the HD bundle pack of Sly Cooper for the PS3, I feel they know everything about the games since they literally had to look at every detail.

I loved the whole ancestor Cooper vault idea in the third game, it was fun to explore and learn about his family. Now that we can go back in time and even play as some of the family members we know and love, we also from the looks of it meet new ancestors. That may be why you learn new abilities, as those pages somehow got lost from the Thieveous Raccoonus or were never written down.

This game has had me excited since I saw the teaser at the end of the Sly Collection. From what I've seen, Sanzaru is staying true to the series while puttig their own spin on things. I'm glad that we've finally been given a window of a release date, and I'm looking forward to playing this gem.

I'm looking forward for this game.

Sly 2 and Sly 3 were really goods games, I really enjoyed them. Seems so interesting play with the others Coopers, from Sly's family. So good it's coming in this Fall! Can't wait to touch in it and play it!

I've been a huge fan of these games ever since it came out. I'm so glad this new installment is coming out! :B

I agree with Llave that Sanzaru dic a great job on th HD bundle pack, and now that they have a game "all by them", it must be very well done.

    Thanks for the update, Libre.

That's pretty neat. I like that there's this cross-compatibility, but I also question the point of it. If you can have the same game on two different systems and there's no difference other than portability, it seems kind of silly. I'm not saying portability is a bad thing, but maybe I'm just having trouble keeping up with all these technological advancements. I feel like an old man.

That trailer really reminded me of the good old platformer days, and I've never tried Sly before so look at my surprise! XD

I hope this does well whenever it does come out, platformers on the home consoles are few and far between these days, good ones especially. Shame, another game pushed back into 2013. At least 2013 will be an epic year for gamers.
