Yeah, I didn't want to post this in the gaming section as I know the most help I'd get is "lol ur cumpootar iz siht". So yeah, title sort of explains it. In more detail, when I click on the create a sim button I see the create a sim screen and that mirror with a sim infront of it appear for a second before my computer suddenly restarts. I've already checked the internet via different search engines and EA troubleshooting (I already knew that would be useless) so I'm hoping one of you have had and overcome a similar problem.

EDIT: Btw, my computer meets the system requirements.

Did you recently update to the new patch? Because I just did last night and now my game won't load at all.

No idea. It's my sister's game so she and my other sister set it up then got me when it wouldn't work and I'm bamboozled. I have no idea whether or not they got any updates done as well or not and they probably won't know either.

Well you can check your version by just opening the Sims 3 Game Launcher (you don't need the disk in) and clicking the Updates button on the left bar. It'll have some numbers. I think the most recent is 1.8.something. And if you want you can try updating.

T-T Funny that, the same happened with mine... Except it was working for a few odd seconds... THen my laptop just switched off, all on its own.

-_- Then again, it could've been the battery overheating... I hope.

Oh bugger I forgot about this thread, anywho, my cousin managed to fix it. My graphics card drivers or something just hadn't updated themselves which was the problem.

    Oh ok xD

:/ Hmm, I actually might give the graphics card a check... Thanks for the tip. xx
