I dug this up from last year. It isn't really a rhyming poem, but it's intersting...So here you go!

    When we lock eyes
We become the object of silence.
    Everything around us fades
    And it's just us.
For some reason that we can't explain,
We end up with these little games,
But each too afraid to make the next move.
    When we're apart,
    We are distracted
    With thoughts of each other
But neither willing to speak out loud.
We are stuck between reality and nothingness,
    Resounding in twilight...
    Longing for the other's hand
Yet not reaching with our own.
What I would give to break this chain,
What I would give to erase the past,
What I would give to have you at last--
    My light in the shadows.
