Suffering from a slight case of insomnia is insane... especially when you have an 8 hour shift starting in 5 hours from now.
I get this a lot. First, what I usually do, is that I warm up a glass of milk. There is some thing in milk that helps you relax or whatever, and heating up the milk makes those effects work faster. Also, you could try putting some honey in it, if you'd like. Next I get in bed and get cozy. Let all your worries disappear. The point is to clear your mind. If you are thinking about a lot of stuff, writing it down on a notepad may help, so you don't worry about forgeting your thoughts, or something. Also, while I'm in bed I like to play soothing music (like smooth jazz) to help calm me down. Just try to relax and eventually you'll fall asleep?. That all sounds so lovely~ I would, if it weren't for having to get up in a few hours. I'll definitely do this when I have a day to sleep in longer!
