Soda, candy, chips, all that good stuff. Take the fact that you probably love the stuff out of it, should it be taken out of schools?

I think Lunch was like like a patrol station refuel my energy for my 2 next periods but with the healthy crap it felt like 3 days in those lessions!

    KEEP JUNK FOOD!

Remove the reallt bad junk like cheese curds and what not but keep the classics like chips and cookies so the kiddies don't become giant after getting a huge greasy lunch everyday.

I say flat-out banning them would both make the kids angry and make the schools lose profits, but limiting how much each child can purchase per lunch might work.

I don't think that junk food should neccessarily be banned, but I do think that schools need to offer a more balanced diet. At one of my old schools it was pretty much chips everyday or pizza or burgers etc, and the healthier options were always bruised fruit and manky looking salads that were all limp and gross.

Instead of outright banning junk food, they should work on promoting healthier and more balanced foods and making it more appealing.

Let them still have the choice, but give them more variety and wider options.

Banning people from something never works, it causes them to rebel in the majority of cases. Like the parents who took fish and chips, or mcdonalds to their kid's schools and would pass it over the fence etc.

i think certain junk foods should be taken out of school.and on the drinks, they could probable take out the sodas and probably put juices and waters and teas.that way you won't too much sugars stuff.chips and cookies would be ok,taking out the pastry items wouldn't hurt them.certain candys would be ok.but all the way banned in school.i don't think they should.

    Momma said it all.

Why ban something that tastes good just because some people can't control their eating?

Then you need to use that energy elsewhere, having a bad temper isn't as a result of having a good diet, the fact you need junk food to stay happy and calm is actually a little worrying.

    I don't hate you :b

Though I do think it might be a good idea to cut out some of the crap and eat a more balanced diet.

Getting fat is just one side effect of eating junk food all the time. So even though you aren't fat, it doesn't mean eating junk all the time is ok.

I shouldn't say remove it, but limit it so no one should get the extra stuff they normally need.

I'm kind of torn on the issue since there are other healthier alternatives out there than to have vending machines for soda, chips, candy etc that I think should be in schools instead. I also don't really like it that so many schools seem to have all this corporation stuff up nowadays because of selling the foods. If people bring in stuff, that's their own concern but I can't say I'd rather see the option of kids buying junk food at school from machines etc gone. Maybe some 'healthier' potato chips, drinks like teas, gatorade, flavored waters, sport bars or something as replacements would be better. Teens do need some carbohydrates etc but not the 'bad' kind all the time. I don't see a way of really 'regulating' how much junk food people buy unless a live person sells it instead of it being in vending machines, which in most schools, no one would want to pay someone money to sell it. In my school, the only junk food we had were ice cream bars and potato chips now and then and we survived. We were allowed to bring in stuff we wanted to. I hate outright 'banning' of stuff, but I do think there should at least be some healthy alternatives because some people just spend all their money anymore on crap food for lunch.

At my old high school, the "junk" food was healthier than the cafeteria food. Besides, it;s the parent's job to keep their kids healthy and teach them about good eating habits, NOT society's

My middle school removed junk food the day I finally had money to buy some.
My high school has been junk food free for the past. . .5 years. Though they sell "Healthy Fudge Pops"

My high school took out sodas from the vending machines three years ago. They have powerade, vitamin water, water, flavored water, and tea, I believe.

They still had potato chips and the such. But, the entire right side column was healthy alternatives like granola bars or trail mix.

I, myself, rarely eat junk food. I didn't care either way when they removed soda. But, some people just flipped sh*t when they stopped. We also had a carb station where you could get pasta every day. We had a salad station with pre-made salads. Baked potato chips and baked chicken strips with fries. We also served pizza from a pizza place. And we had sub sandwichs from Schlotzki's. For the most part, we had the OPTIONS of healthier eating. The only thing they took out was soda, which was a good idea. You spill a can of soda, ants get in, that's a health violation. I'm fine with them putting healthier alternatives in schools.

No, I don't think it should be removed from schools. Kids have the option of buying the snacks anyway so it's not being forced upon them unwillingly. People trying to control every aspect of what someone should eat is getting a little much. Although I do agree that schools should focus on healthier foods, the option to buy junk foods should not be banned completely.

Nah, we kids are the ones who choose to buy it. No need to take it away. It'd cause unnecesary stress on junk food lovers. Not that I rly care tho o-o
I have so many allergies, I have to bring my food to school evry day xD
