If they can find another company to provide supplies to them, I believe it would be a liable "sentence" to drop suppliers to supply them. No one to sell supplies to, no money. No money, no business. No business, no animal abuse. But then again, they'll have to find another resource to make their products with which may or may not prove to be difficult.

And if other people eating the products realize where their food really comes from, witness the cruelty and whatnot through video footage like from the link you provided, then the companies will risk loosing customers or perhaps being sued if their consumers are angry enough. At least, I think that's one thing that could happen.

If there's another supplier, then yeah. I mean, it really sends me a message to the supplier, especially if it's a big company like McDonalds. It also gives customers a positive message.

But if there's no other supplier, then company could take a big hit.

well voting with your wallet is a way to get a message across i suppose. well, if they wanted to send a message, McDonald's should be clear to their suppliers on the reasons they dropped them as a supplier and give them a clear list of things they could change.

anyways, for the topic of "should companies drop suppliers for animal abuse", it's really up to the companies. they are under no obligation to do so but like i said, if companies wanted to stop animal abuse, they could always boycott those companies in order to stop it. i would think that the suppliers would change their ways if they lost enough business for offending others with animal abuse.

Although I don't think very highly of MSNBC, I am strongly against animal neglect/cruelty. Now, I also believe in a company's right to decide whether or not they want to break ties with a place or not, it shouldn't be a law in my opinion, but I think Mickey D's did the right thing here.

Their eggs are processed so hard that they barely even constitute as eggs once they're sold anyway.
