Not surprised. Although, how exactly did AC3 perform sloppily? I didn't really hear anything negative about its release (with the exception of all the glitches in the game)?

I'm hoping these problems fade away in the coming year as the developers start really tapping into the Wii U's power and capabilities.

It seems to be a developer problem rather than a Wii U problem.

I played Ninja Gaiden 3 in person back in the summer and compared it to the already released one and it felt much better. It looked much better too. Mass Effect I can see. That stuff tends to happen when you just render a game from one disk to another disk.

The Wii U has so many good abilities. It can definitely be superior to the Xbox 360/PS3, but all that's needed is dedication. The developers don't care about the Wii U's image, all they want is money, and they don't give a flying rat's ass who they make look bad in the process.

I believe that's the case for most, if not all, ports in general.

Yeah, when you port from a more powerful system to a weaker system. They're going from weaker to stronger here.

Its all the glitches. I've had my horse fall through the ground. CONNOR FELL THROUGH THE GROUND. I'm now expecting my horse to fall through the ground with Connor riding on it. Animations aren't working when they should - having no facial movement when someone is talking during cutscenes is annoying. Even climbing and stuff could get frustrating. There were far too many glitches in the game.

Anyway, its no surprise about the wii U. New machine, games made for consoles that were familiar and ported onto a completely different console. I'd like to think, given with time, games for the wii U will get a lot better, but I dunno if third party companies will put the effort in since its so different to what they're used to developing for.

It was the same story with the Wii. 3rd parties just didn't know how to develop for the console, but developers are seemingly more hopeful about the potential the Wii U has, so we'll see if they're going to try to set the bar for quality Wii U games or if they'll be lazy about it and just not really try.

Agreed. That's my only complaint about the game (which I haven't finished yet). I just hope the patch they release in a few days will fix some of those glitches.

Well, that sucks. >.< I think Batman and Darksiders aren't affected, though.

    HEY, that's my line!

I think they were rushing through them just for the launch of the Wii U. Maybe third party games will get better for the Wii U in the future. Then again, that's a maybe.

Yeah, that's most likely the reason. I haven't heard performance complaints from first-party titles, though, so that's a good sign.
