My reactions to this. I am still looking extremely forward to Rising, though.

But goddamn Kojima. I love the MGS series a lot but GET WORKING ON ZOE3
Oh well. Either way I am excited for this haha. I do wonder what it's going to be about though. I always though the story was concluded.

After seeing the Peace Walker ending I had the feeling a Metal Gear remake would come up eventually. Sure, the game already exists, but it would be a shame to leave what' s probably the most climatic confrontation (Big Boss Vs Solid Snake) of the whole saga untouched, in its 8 bit "sprites spouting a handful of text boxes" glory, Although I have nothing against 8 bit gameplay there is room for many story-telling improvements there.

Interesting... I mean where does the MGS series go but to its past, as it has done. can there be a sequel after MGS4?
And what will happen to the Snake family as being the main characters of the series, will they pull another Raidan?

Also looking forward to Kojima's other project.

If I were to compare, the MGS series is equivalent to the FF series, and by extension, the ZOE series is equivalent to the KH series. A casual observation.

I'm so excited for this. This news made my night. Metal Gear Solid will ALWAYS be my favorite franchise, and if Kojima is making another game for it, I won't complain. This is so awesome h23iojwdqoiwj can't contain fanboy happiness.

A Metal Gear remake would be interesting. Thing is MG1 didn't have a lot of storytelling though, so I wonder if they could really make a story out of that. Then again it is Kojima, King of the longest cutscenes in gaming history.
I honestly would love to see a Metal Gear 2 remake. Killing Big Boss with an Aerosol Can and a Lighter in HD? Yes please. Best boss battle in history.

That's actually a really good comparison.
