Sheet Music Program

I'm in need of a program that lets me write out sheet music...does anybody know of any free or low-cost programs that I could use to do something like that?

I hope this in the right section...if not, can somebody please move it?

I would suggest going there to download.com because some other sites are kinda shifty.
