    did anyone read the manga?
i just read the special side story "Funbari no Uta". it takes place 6 years after shaman king ended.
everyone looks different, horo horo (trey in the english dub) looks like urahara from bleach kinda. anna looks like a grown women. yoh looks like a mixture of riku (KH2) and hao (zeke in the english version). ryo still looks like ryo xD
manta didn't show up though :/
i wanted to see what he looks like

ohh and " Mappa-Douji" is also another good special side story, it shows hao's past and the reason why he hates humans. he was actually a good guy...

ohh well, anyone else read shaman king manga?

I liked Shaman King, possibly one of my favorite mangas. The ending was severely disappointing, but it made sense upon reading how Takei felt about it. I heard about a 2009 resurrection of the series, but I don't actually believe it.

It was a good series. I got mad when they stopped putting it in Shounen Jump.
    Corrected.

No. I mean it's definitely not for guys, it's far too cutesy for it to be geared towards the male constituency. Though this shouldn't stop them from reading if they like it, all I'm saying is it isn't meant for guys. Don't try to tell me what I meant to say.

you all need to get back on topic, last time i checked this topic was centered around shaman king.
if you wanna talk about "Hikaru no Go" make a topic for it

Go is a traditional Japanese game. And in today's era, there's no real divider for male/female things.
I read Shounen Jump, guys. I like seeing things get blown up/cut in half/mauled.
Some people like intellectual games. Go is one of them. A guy or girl could read it and enjoy it, while the opposite is true too.

I never got into Shaman King. Something about the art bothered me, but it looks like an interesting concept.
Then again, I've never liked ghosts. <_>

It's not really about ghosts. It's about spirituality and humanity more than anything else. I liked it because the concept was centered around fighting not based on sheer brute power but knowledge and spirit. Also, there were some really cool looking parts.

they started it off wrong, if you read the first couple of chapters then i don't blame ya for not liking it. it gets intresting when yoh meets his rival and the main enemy of the series.
both, though some of the special episodes which are very good were never dubbed into english. and some of the manga wasn't officially translated but you can find some special versions where someone on the internet translated it

btw, the manga beats the anime in every aspect >_>

Funbari no Uta is a manga chapter of the series. it won't make any sense unless you read all of the other chapters first.
the series is called "shaman king"

I've read some of it, but the beginning is awful slow so I didn't continue.
