I dislike the fact they are making fun of homosexual marriage but, be that as it may I'm pretty sure the ducks wouldn't know what they were doing anyhow.

xD On a more serious note (although it was slightly humourous), what the hell is Robertson on about? His view is probably that gay marriage is extreme, which it really isnt. It's not like we're marrying those of other species, just those of the same gender.

 

Wow, what a statement. I... really don't think a weirder comparison could be made between Gay Marriage... and Sex with Ducks?! What kind of Homophobe would even THINK that by allowing one law which is widely wanted and supported would lead to polititions allowing another one that NO-ONE wants, and is just absolutely creepy as hell?

I mean, say we legalized carrying guns in my country (Something I'm opposed to, but using as an example). Does this mean that consequently we would legalize the use of guns on children or the elderly? Of course not! It's the same principal, and common sense for christ sakes!

I've seen their videos before and even I have been offended by them, I actually was pretty pissed at a certain one. My friend if he saw this would be pissed.

 

But still. It's a good comparrison. Men and women in this country arn't very welcoming to Gay Marriage, and if they legalize it, all hell will be loose. And soon enough, people might want to have sex with ducks.
The United States itself is very opinionated, and it's views amongst Homosexuality is very harsh.

 

I'm intrigued. How so? America has always been a country wanting to keep out of other peoples affairs, so why aren't its people the same? it's not like it's their sexuality being discussed, so why should they care? I'm guessing its due to religious influence, but that's just me. Being opinionated doesn't account for an attitude this size. It's just seems too large for me for America to hold an opinion like that

Law states in my state that you can only have a "Partner" if you are Homosexual.
And you can't even get married that way.

 

I see... Religion had to have a hand in this, from what I've picked, so thanks for confirming that. (No offense to any religious followers out there. I'm not opposed to that, but it's had a large hand in most laws around the world) I still don't understand why the law on this is so strong, but I know it's a futile understanding, so don't worry about that.

But still, you put restrictions on something, and people will be more inclined to break those barriers.

Ex, The Right to bear arms did not lead to the right to use them on somebody else.

Okay, saw this thread title and had to respond.
Firstly, there is nothing wrong with gay marriage. I can be against sex with ducks because that qualifies as animal abuse and potentially rape. Even so, there have been people before who have married animals which is disgusting when you consider that people can do that but a girl marrying another girl is prohibited.

 

Well, even though America has it's many views on this hotly debated issue, I think it should be legal to marry someone of the same sex. It doesnt hurt anybody at all but the extreme christians and the homophobes, and they really need to stay out of their choices of who they marry.

I don't like how people don't see Gay marriage as right. This guy has taken it to an extreme that is just stupid! Its not like we're marrying an animal, we're just, not marrying the opposite sex! SO WHAT?!

 

No, that's not what I meant. I was saying that while it is restricted, Gay couples will just fight harder for it, or try and bypass it.

 

I don't think that legalizing gay marriage would lead to legalizing something as wrong as bestiality. I mean just because the same sex in love is one thing but different species? To me these two things are polar opposites.

People have different fetishes. Why does it matter if people get pleasure out of sex with ducks? Much worse things happen in America, such as when a guy's head pops off at a hanging, it's considered a sign from god. Provided the duck lovers stick to laws of decency and don't go doing it in public, feel free.

Coming back to the point on Gay marriage, I am fine with it. Again, it's just a ceremony to celebrate the union of two beings in love. And considering that a good portion of the population is gay, it seems silly to alienate them from the legal benefits of marriage/civil union.

As for marriage being a Catholic ritual, and Catholic religion being against gays, it is time it is recognised that:

1. The bible has some major ethical flaws.

2. Marriage has transcended the bounds of religion. It is now a Social event.

 

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope you weren't being serious in this post. Why the hell would legalising gay marriage lead to people wanting to have sex with ducks? I can't tell whether you are just paraphrasing the opinions of the person the idea came from or whether you actually believe that.

If you actually believe that gay marriage is what would later lead to bestiality then that is extremely ****ing ******ed.

You know, there are already people who **** animals, in fact I remember reading an article once about a man who was found dead in a cave after a landslide with chicken feathers on his **** and dead birds around him. Pretty sure that can't be blamed on legalising gay marriage.

Lets not forget as well the man who got forced to marry his goat after he got caught having sex with it, pretty sure that can't be blamed on legalising gay marriage either.
