Severe shortage of scorn.

See, Zter. This is where you are wrong. Debate, dispute, discussion!

It has recently come to my attention that Zter, a fine friend of mine, has been banned. I am to spread the word, share the news. Forum, I am not ready for this. This is similar to the loss of a loved one - surely you can relate, no? Zter may be a pretentious *******, but despite that, I believe that he is good at the core; spoonfeeding us our daily meal of sarcasm, Zter makes sure that we are all well fed. Moderators, rethink this decision.

If Zter is banned, we will suffer from a severe shortage of scorn. Sarcasm, satire. We all need a bit of it in our lives.

I side by my friends, Zter. Pretentious or not, this forum is in need of your presence.

What was he banned for? Full disclosure is needed for a discussion to go on... Otherwise the mods will just lock it on account of it being a fair decision and move on without releasing it.

 

He did not specify. Do not doubt Zter, for I am sure that he has very... good reasons. Candid and frank, at the very least.

I must prod him for the details.

 

All I know about it that he can't post, and searching for his posts returns an empty search. Maybe he hasn't been banned?

 

From what I've seen of his profile, it doesn't look like he's been banned because his name isn't gray and the title below his name doesn't say "Banned" like all the other banned members. Or is he in the process of being banned or something? I have no clue how these things work.

 

I just had a look, he doesn't appear to be banned but I think all his posts have been deleted. It's a shame that he can't post/been banned, I didn't know him but he seemed really nice. But as for a shortage of scorn, I'm sure there are many people who will fill that empty hole, maybe not in the same way but still better than nothing. I know a lot of members enjoy sarcasm, the spamzone is riddled with it.

 

What gave you that impression? I think one of the points the thread is making points out the fact that his posts aren't necessarily nice, but that he shouldn't be banned simply because they aren't. Yaddayadda.

I'm not entirely sure this thread is all too appropriate though. It seems like a personal matter, and now that it's confirmed that he at least doesn't look banned, I feel like he should be defended...elsewhere. Was he told he was being banned? Or given any kind of warning? Maybe this should be brought directly to a staff member. If that hasn't happened already. To at least straighten out what's going on. ​

 

I don't know, I just saw him around and people seemed to be friends with him. I never noticed any overly hurtful posts so I just assumed the best. But you're right, I don't know him and I didn't take not of anything he said, but nothing stuck out to me as being out of line.

 

Dear god, thank you for this. I just burst out laughing. I daresay that you are quite possibly the first to think of Zter as "really nice". Assuming that Zter is keeping tabs with this thread, I'm sure that he is pleased with that remark. Or not. He does try too hard to appear contemptuous.

So is this guy banned or not?

 

I just checked out his page. Currently, nothing has changed. You can't find any of his posts and it shows nothing about visitor messages or friends, so it seems like he isn't considered banned. What I would like to know is the reason why he is like this, why he is up for being banned. I don't know Zter that well, so there's no way I can tell if he is a nice guy or not, but not all of his posts are "kind", but that may not be the way he acts (I don't really know). However, because I don't know him, I'll have to have faith in the staff. They never ban without reason, so they must have a good reason why it is like this.

 

Ask him, why don't you? I presume that he will be hanging out on Voxli more frequently than usual, now that he has been banned. Banned, something of that sort.
