Imagine getting whatever you wanted in this life. Whatever ability, whatever gf/bf, whatever wealth, whatever you wanted.

    For one small price.

    Your eternal soul.

I was thinking about this a little while ago. Mainly because everything was going to Hell for me and I was getting a tad bit desperate. My mind wandered and then this came up somewhere in there. (I'd never do it though xD)

    1. Do you think it's possible?

    2. If you do: Would you try and do it? Why?
If you don't: Why not? (And not that: "I dont believe in Satan or God or anything"). Moreso, why not. What specific reason. (ex: If that were real, there'd be a hell of a lot more people who would've done it)

    3. Let's say it IS possible. What would you sell your soul for, or what would be worth that to you?

I'll be the second to answer this.
I believe what you get in life you need to work for it and not have everything given to you for it only makes you lazy and not not appreciate anything or anyone. People who are like this come to expect this and thus become self consumed monsters wanting anything and everything giving in to gluttony.

Now I have always wanted to have the ability to fly such as grow wings or have a magical ability to, but I would never I repeat never sell my soul for it. People who do make bargains with Satan are only damning themselves for damnation for enternity and just for a pleasureable moment that would exhaust in time for that individual would regret it forever. Is it worth it to have what you really wanted just be stuck in enternal agony forever? I don't think so. Once again this is my opinion and belief and I stand by it.

    Sounds like Dr. Faustus. loool

I'd probably never do it. There's plenty in RL to do, even if I could get whatever I wanted. Plus I'd probably have no value in it if that's the way it worked.

I'd sell my soul for incontrovertible proof that both Satan and God do not exist, thus creating a logical paradox that results in the return of my soul and the obliteration of both beings. Oh, that and immortality+invincibility.

Don't believe in it because there is no actual proof of a 'soul' and no proven way to contact the devil to establish a bargain.

But if it was possible I'd never sell my soul, I'd just cheat the devil out of all his power and have people sell their souls to me

I guess it depends... like "Sell your soul to let someone live/ get into heaven or something" it would still be a hard choice, otherwise no... nothing I want THAT much

    I wouldn't do it.

You might have an amazing life as a result, but afterwards?

Eternity is a lot longer than the life we have, I would rather live my life and know that everything I get is through my own doing, than sell my soul and have an eternity of suffering.

I don't know whether I believe in heaven and hell, but if they did exist, and it WAS possible to sell your soul, I wouldn't do it.

Besides, say you sld your soul to be with the person you loved, you would always be wondering whether they were with you because of the magic or because they actually want to be.

Also, how do you know you wouldn't have achieved what it is you sold your soul for anyway further down the line? Obviously things like flying aren't going to happen, but heck :/ if you had wings you would end up disected on a table.

This reminds me strongly of a sci-fi story I once read (or was it fantasy? It was in a sci-fi compilation...). In it, a guy sells his soul to have whatever he wants on earth, and for the ability to be a demon. He manages to wheedle his way out of it, but he has those same concerns about his wife on Earth.

No. If I were to believe in heaven and what comes with it,no.
I wouldn't want my life to be a trainwreck, but I wouldn't want to be absolutely perfect either.
This might sound crazy but, don't you think the people around you would start to get mad with you if you had no problems?
+ You couldn't relate to anyone or anything.
Like say, one of your friends boyfriend breaks up with them because of a horrible fight. Then, you wouldn't be able to give them any advice or help them at all.
This also might be weird to hear but, that's what people like to hear.
Someone who is going to be there for them, not just fly with wherever the wind blows and keeps their head in the clouds.

    Immortality,
No.I think forever is a long time and I'd rather die and see my friends and family who have died before me.
Rather than, watching everyone around me die.

    No.

I wouldn't sell my soul just to have a perfect life. Honestly, having a perfect life can become boring after a while, don't you think? I don't care if it meant getting everything I wanted. Getting the guy I could possibly want, getting the friends I want, getting the amount of money I want, etc. still, no.

Life is supposed to have it's ups and downs. It can never be perfect.

    As for immortality, still, no.

Living forever can be boring as well, don't you think? Sure you may never be able to die but seeing those you love pass away and seeing others pass away can be heartbreaking in my opinion.

I never understood why Hell was supposed to be a place of eternal torture by Satan, because Hell is supposed to be Satan's army that he wants to build against God, right? So why would he be beating/maiming his army, shouldn't he be getting them exercise equipment and protein shakes so they GET BUFF?

I'm going to go ahead and answer this myself.

    1. Do you think it's possible?

    I don't know. I'm really openminded. But ultimately, I don't.

    2. If you don't: Why not?

Because if you sit in a room saying: "Satan, my good man, I have a proposition for you. B|" It's highly unlikely that he'll show up out of no where.

    3. Let's say it IS possible. What would you sell your soul for, or what would be worth that to you?

I don't know what's worth it. First of all, you wouldn't assume Satan would be an idiot. I don't think he'd give you immortality. And if he did, it'd be the ******ed kind that you wouldn't want and everyday would be horrible...

And also, eternity is forever. You can't measure it out, there's no end. And to spend eternity in hell for a temporary Earthly pleasure...Meh. Not worth it. :/ Besides...I'd feel horrible if I knew that the only reason good was coming to me was because of the deal I made. And that I wouldn't ever really deserve it at all.

This pretty much sums up what I think. I mentioned in a recent post on this site that I play Re:Chain of Memories basically just for the cutscenes with the new Organization XIII voices. I could just watch them on here, but the point of watching them on my own television is because it's more satisfying, and that's because I feel like I've earned them. If you don't work for things in life and have everything presented to you on a silver platter, life is boring. So no, I would most definitely not sell my soul for a wish.
