Lyra and Casey should know secrets only cause trouble.
they didnt seem to think about this when they started dating almost two years ago,but they dont know how long they can hide it anymore what with Lyra being pregnant and Jordan realsing that they're expecting....nothing bad could happen right?

"You really need to start looking for a job Elly." Conni sighed, stroking her daughter's hair. She was sat just behind her on the sofa looking over her eldest daughter and her toddler. "Me and your Dad can't support you forever sweetie, we're having money trouble ourselves now."

"I know..." Elle replied quietly. She had her little girl on her lap and every so often, when she was prompted by a frustrated squeak, she handed the child a raisin from the box she had in her hand. "It's just not easy, I don't have any qualifications at all. No one wants me..."

"There's got to be something somewhere. Maybe you could get some muggle stuff? I mean there's no reason why not. Or perhaps some bar work." Casey tuned in from the other side of the room where he was sat reading some large book for his training at St. Mungo's. Unlike his sister Casey did have some prospects of a good job, he was working towards being a Healer, like his mother he hand an natural aptitude to medicinal magic.

 

"Cory...put that down! no Cory! you cant play with that! ah ! Jordan! Help!"


Jordan grinned,going to his sisters room,who was trying to hold up her skirt and hold the little boy

"Take him down stairs...please"she said,handing the boy to his uncle,then went back to her skirt,but it wouldnt button,she had a look of frustration

"You know why its doing that? cos you've packed on the pounds look!"he laughed "you gots a fat a** Lyra!"

JORDAN! SHUT UP!"

 

"I don't like the idea of leaving Jamei..." Elle mumbled. "I'll get a job when she's a bit older, if it gets too bad I'll talk to Granddad."

"If you're happy with owing him money I guess." Conni sighed. She herself had wanted to prove to her parents that she was more the capable of looking after herself, that and Nort hadn't wanted to seem like he couldn't provide. But her situation was very different to Elle's. Elle's was a depressing situation, a very depressing one.
All she wanted to do was help the girl, but Elle hadn't even said the father's name to her. She'd always say she didn't know who he was, but you could tell by the sadness in her eyes that she did know; and it was tearing her apart.

There was a loud clap as Casey shut his book. "Right, I'm going 'round Ly's. You two and your depressingness is getting waaay too much for me." He chuckled as he packed up his stuff.

 

Jordan ducked as his sister threw a shoe at him,laughing he set Cory down in front of the Tv.

"Whats going on?"Lily said crossing her arms

"Mum..."Lyra whimped"Jordan said I have a fat arse....he says I've put on weight!"she looked near tears,infact she was in tears,she looked shocked,why was she even crying about it?

Jordan looked appalled that Lyra was actually crying

"Its ok Mummy..."Cory said,jumping up to hug her leg

 

Conni sighed heavily. "Fine Case, just make sure you're back for dinner. Okay?"

"Sure Mum," Casey nodded as he slid on his trainers. "See ya Elle, try not to smile too much." He chuckled as he saluted them then vanished into thin air.

 

"Jesus Lyra whats wrong with you? I was kidding."

"Mummy...heres my teddy! hug him! he'll make it better"Cory said offering a battered looking teddy bear"Dont cry mummy."

""Lyra?"Lily looked lost forwards,it had come on so quickly,now her daughter stood sniffling

 

At the moment Lily spoke Lyra's name there was a loud crack in the air and Casey appeared out in the hallway. "Hey! Sorry about not kno--" He started, pearing around the door into the room they were all gathered in. The sight of Lyra in tears stopped him in mid-sentence. "Did I come at a bad time?"

 

"Oh Hiya"she laughed wiping her eyes,she sounded as if she had a head cold"No,no its fine...just Jordan being a idiot."she said"OW mum...its clearly not buttoning!"she sighed

"It fit the last time..."Lily muttered"I dont understand....are you still going to see the doctor today?""

"Yes Mother"she rolled her eyes,seeming perfectly normal now"Casey...do you want to come with me?"

 

"Sure," Casey nodded. "A trip to the doctors is better then no trip at all." He grinned. "Now, where's the munchkin boy. Cory~?" He called in a slightly melodic tone, faking looking puzzled as to where the child was.

 

"Boo!"the boy jumped up,"Her i am!"he giggled like mad

She smiled"I'll just go put something that fits on and we can go."she said hurrying back upstairs

 

"Hey there little man!" Casey exclaimed, bending down a scooping the child up and holding him up above his head before lowering him again. He held Cory in his right arm and looked up the stairs as Lyra disappeared up them. "Okay Ly."

 

"Is Elle still all doom and gloom?"Jordan asked

Cory giggled"Hiya! then added sternly,his little face pouting imediatly"Stop."Cory said"stop making fun of people...yous a meany uncle Jordy!"

 

"You tell him little one." Casey chuckled, ruffling the boy's hair. "And pretty much, yeah. Post natal depression will do that though."

 

"That bad huh?"

Lyra came back down stairs,shrugging into her jacket

"Strechy clothes Ly?"Jordan laughed

"Jordan!"Lily snapped"Now Lyra....call as soon as you know whats wrong..."

 

"Jordan, don't be so horrible." Casey said in a stern tone, smacking the younger man around the head with his free hand. "We ready to go?"
