Well last night, I wacthed this horror movie called '28 weeks later' and I thought to myself if horror movie directors study the human body and see what shocks it and scares it and then they add music and visuals in thier movies to make it all the better and scare thier adiences(sp?). Any opinions on that?

Yea because if they didn't it wouldn't be horror, or scary. As Alfred Hitchcock said, "People want to be scaried", and since he is the king of horror and suspense i'll take that opinion. They all have certain traits to their movies that make it suspenseful, and over the years they become more skilled at it. But to make a simple answer, yes, they do a lot of studying to find this out.

I'd imagine that they'd study it...even though everybody is slightly different, the same basic ideas can really freak pretty much everybody out. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did...and if they don't, they ought to start.

    Id imagine so :3
As *Oblivion* mentioned, there are certain things that will evoke reactions from nearly everyone[like scary looking things, things that pop out at you, pychological thrill]
Some scary movies just end up comedies because they are either poorly directed, poorly acted or just dont use enough scary things.

I think it would trigger more audiences and off course the audiences will tell their experiences that encourages other people to watch it. So yeah, it would make a highly better horror movie with the use of that.
