Savor No Hero

Note:: This RP is based off of comic books and superheroes (like 80 percent of all my RPs). It's original, but the characters are going to be based of existing characters from comics (or movies, video games, etc). Marvel and DC themes will obviously work, but lesser known ones like IDW, Image, Dark Horse, etc. Original superherohttp://kh-vids.net/forums/original-rp.92/create-threades from other media (i.e., Hancock) can also be used as a template. Characters from other media such as video game may be adapted with my approval.

Story
Sometime in the not-so-distant future, people with extraordinary abilities are abound. The abilities range from small physical enhancements to god-like 'superpowers.' These special abilities have been gained from technology, genetics (humans born with special abilities are named "Metas," a sub-species of human), magic, or even physical conditioning. Some use their powers for their own selfishness and have been dubbed supervillains. On the other side, the ones who use their gifts to defend the world are hailed as superheroes. Others may hide their abilities while a rare few use their...enhancements for different purposes such as business, entertainment, or even sell them to the highest bidder.

In addition to superhumans, we have become aware of other dimensions, other planets, magical beings, and even other Earthly-beings that have shattered our view on the world, what is real, and what is only myth.

Superheroes have allied themselves in the past, but there has never been a set team of the greatest heroes to avenge the Earth, promote justice, or simply always come together under a mutual cause. Simply, there has never been a need...until now.

Above many great cities, small fleets of an invading alien army have appeared without warning. The greatest of this ship is high above the city of Olympia. Alien warriors are descending from the ships. While humanoid in shape, they are gray-skinned with bones protruding from their bodies. They may seem barbarian at first, but their weapons are deadly and high-tech. They are faster, stronger, and difficult to kill as well as able to fly with their technology. Their leader has made no appearance, but his army is laying waste to our planet. They are able to tear down entire buildings in less than hour and normal bullets simply bounce off. It is up to the superhumans to band together in the middle of this war and save the planet.
