    "Anthony Green, the former vocalist, had initially suggested the name Saosin for the band. The name is derived from the Chinese phrase xiao xin, meaning 'careful', which could also be literally translated in English to 'small heart'. Green explained the meaning behind this as being in reference to the fact that nothing is eternal, and that it is a mistake to become overly attached to any one thing, because that thing will eventually be lost."
