Birth by Sleep Saix influenced by Ven?

Playing with him in days, I noticed some of his moves are quite similar to Ven's. And his way of holding the claymore is kinda familiar ain't it?
Also we didn't see Isa with any weapon when we saw him.Perhaps he got his claymore after that?

 

i haven't played days or fought saix in a while, but now that you mention it i do remember him holding his weapon backhanded i just never really noticed while i was either beating his face in or running like hell when he goes berzerk, he's actually kinda scary in final mix critical mode.

i used to be a die hard saix fan back in the day now i've all but abandoned him.

but that is an interesting find. maybe he saw ven beat down axel in bbs and figured it was a good way to fight.

 

Likely a coincidence.
Ven never knew Saïx for more than the 7 mins that lasted the cutscenes, and even then, their fighting styles are completely different with the exception being the reverse grip wielding.
Saïx is more headed towards bashing and crushing stuff with his Claymore, and Ven's just does quick slashes and stabs.

 

that may be true but that is an odd way to hold a weapon, out of all the games i've ever played and every character i've ever seen that fights, ven and saix are the only ones with that backhand weilding. i'm not saying your wrong it's just very odd way to fight.

of course it could have something to do with the claymore itself, maybe it's just easier to hold that way or just fights his fighting style who knows.

 

It's actually not that rare. It definitely is nowhere as common as regular wielding, but that's why it's called "regular" then lol.
But yeah, not that rare at all.

 

But you guys are analysing Saix as a boss. As a playable character he has SIMILAR (NOT the same) moves. His ground combo with lunatic looks pretty similar to quick blitz (even if it isn't a Ven only command) but still.

 

i have played as saix quite a bit actually in days mostly cause he hits like a truck and packs some decent speed, making him one of the better characters in the game.

but my strongest memory of him is still when he was smashing me around in kh2.

but yeah in both games attack for attack are very similar, i think actually if you give saix the zero gear he has about the same base combo as ven, i could be wrong but now that i think about it that might be why ven's style was familiar to me.

 

Lunatic is the zero gear weapon for Saix. And what I´m telling you of analysing saix as a boss is like judging terra´s speed using the Lingering Setiment battle in KH2. It´s completely different

 

i regret ever agreeing with you now, after this day i'm going to need at least 15 more ansem retort comics to counter all this and maybe another anzity pill and two antidepressents so i can remember what happy feels like again. i get codes for someone which took hours and he doesn't even bother to click the link, i voice my opinion on several games and i get made fun of, i come on your topic being nice and agreeing with you and you bite my head off, i only got 6 hours of sleep cause i had a nasty stomach ache, youtube hates me, devaint art hates me, even my haven wrongplanet doesn't accept me anymore, and to make matters worse i ordered two things online one hasn't shipped and the other has been sitting about 20 or so miles from my house. buddy i can honestly tell you you picked the wrong time to boss me around.

but at least i understand one thing now nts truly cannot exist with us who have mental disabilities, i'm an aspie, and i can't help that my comuncations skills are sub par. and that's another strike against me, when does it end.

I'll analyse what I post before I post it to see if it can offend someone, so that I can avoid it. Making people sad unintentionally is the worst thing ever...

 

i've been having a bad last few months even though i'm on pills for depression they seem to have made me medically bi-polar, at this point even the smallest thing goes wrong and i blow a fuse i'm still in my low angry state now.

i hope someday i can get back to a normal of some sort, like somewhere between happy and sad and just stay there.

anyway i never knew what saix's weapon was called i've called it the claymore for years now, but really the only way to kinda confirm this is have both games running and compare attack for attack. but like i said even though i havn't played days in years now i'm pretty sure they have similar fighting styles not exact but similar. mainly cause weapons they use are different, not just in shape but size and weight.

 

It's possible that it's just a coincidence. There are around thirteen different play styles in Days. Chances are one of them would be similar to Ven's.

Also, there's one more KH character who uses a backhand grip: The Mysterious Figure.

 

oh crap i forgot about him, maybe that's because i never fought him before.

but imo due to saix and ven having vastly different weapons their could be more to it, but that's just me anyway.
