I honestly do want to see a successful Aquaman outside of the comics. There was supposed to be an Aquaman show, similar to Smallville back in 2006, but only a pilot was made, and nothing more came of it. If this does happen, I'd like to really see it show how badass he can be. I don't have high hopes for the Justice League film franchise they're trying to build, but maybe some good can come out of this after all? (Especially since there are some really interesting characters they could have movies on).
Poor, poor Aquaman... That guy is a badass who owns most of the planet and could summon Cthulhu to eat your soul, but the world will only ever know him as a guy who talks to fish and rides a waterski. Even if he gets a movie I doubt it will be successful for that reason. Poor Aquaman... As for a Justice League movie, well... I'm more interested in a World's Finest. But if they do make a Justice League movie the problem is how they pull it off and make every member of the team seem like they serve a purpose, because like the article says the JL is a little more out there.
