Ruby Weapon is Defeated!

Ahhh, Feels good I can say i've defeated every FF super boss now, pretty sure I have anyway.

 

What did you do on this one?

congrats! i remember how hard this fight is and how long it took. by the way, you get a free Gold Chocobo if you visit one of the houses in Kalm

i was able to beat this one by using Cloud alone. before the fight, i intentionally killed my 2 other party members so that Cloud wouldn't get sucked away in the beginning. i just left them dead the entire fight while Cloud kept using Knights of the Round on the main body as well as Omnislash to get rid of the tentacles. i also found that the spell "Shield" is especially useful in this fight.

 

Tifa with Master Summon, Cloud with Master Command, Hades, Pheonix and W-Item Cid had nothing really, Start off with just Cloud alive, have him Summon Hades to stun Ruby, then Pheonix on the tendrils to pick up the other two, Have cid throw a speed shoe on someone, Tifa do the same, Cloud have him chuck the last one out and a Dazer on Ruby incase he wakes up, Cid's only goal from now on is to throw out Dazers to Stun Ruby should he wake up again, Tifa Summon KOTR then Cloud Mime her to repeat it, just keep going like that, when Tifa gets Low on MP have Cloud use a Megalixer. Again not a pretty win, but a win none the less

 

so was it harder or easier than the Emerald Weapon?

 

The US should hire Vivi to lead our army.

To be fair I'd probably lead the army into congress, do the most good wiping that place out.

But I don't use Yuffie in my team except for when you first recruit her, to train her up for the Wutai challenge tower.

 

That doesn't change the fact that Yuffie is in FFVII. Can't you just admit that it was a Vaandurful pun?
