Traditional Art Roy Mustang

Let's see...I drew it over the summer in New Hampshire. It was the first time I've drawn a person anime or not for about four years. I never like how they turn out. I was quite happy with this one though. I am just too lazy to re-scan with ART(c.)HellKitten on it so I just edited on Photobucket. Annoying art thieves. The writing? I was bored so I wrote what he said to Ed about being a Military Dog around him. On the side its just his name, gender, personality stuff like that.

I love it. It looks great. Just one problem. It looks nothing like him. :] Sorry, but it doesn't. Change the hair color to black.

I totally agree that this doesn't look a thing like Mustang, the uniform looks right but the rest simply has not the slightest resemblance. It looks like some Akira Toriyama based style in fact. If you know how I feel about the man's work you'll understand my hesitancy to comment further.

 

Try to darken the hair and the coat, but lighten the skin color. Other than that it is awesome. It looks like he is screaming "TINY MINISKIRTS!!!!"

 

Looks brown to me. *shrugs* I guess you should make the hair darker.

 

I didn't have anything to lean on at the time. I was just drawing from memory. I put on the back that he kinda looks like a little kid. I will darken the colours on my spare time.​

 

In that case...WOW! That makes a huge difference. Nothing to go off of? Just by memory? Nice!

Well I can barely make out teh resemblence so change the hair color to black and his face looks a bit too aged or AKA old. Try taking off most of teh wrinkles around his mouth. That's all! ^^ Goos job though.
