Kingdom Hearts II Roxas & Xemnas data fight

Does anyone know a really good strategy for the Roxas & Xemnas data fights? I've been fighting them but i usually die right at the end. Is there anyway to read their moves & what is the best way to counter them?
I mean why can't they be easy like Saix, i can do him without being damaged in like 2 mins!!! :D
Anyway help would be much appreciated. :D

 

Roxas is kinda simple as long as you don't mess up. Make sure your abilities are maxed out.

For Roxas, reflect at the beginning, then combo him. He'll light strathe around. Just glide away and let him combo nothing. After the combo, stop gliding and land. As soon as he drops his keyblades down a bit for his final move (Like a dash move), guard it, it'll throw him off balance. Use that to combo him and get more damage on him. You'll be able to do that a few more times before he starts his signature move. For that, again, just glide around. Then after that he'll start using those white laser things in his moves. When he's comboing, again, just glide around and then when he stops, guard-->combo. It's my best suggestion. When he uses Dual Bout, make sure to have enough drive to use Limit Form. Use Sonic Rave in Limit Form if you have won his Dual Bout reaction Command.

 

Spam Limit Form & Sonic Raid on Roxas. You win like 2/3 of the time. *rolls eyes*.

That's not how I beat him the first time, but I tried that strategy afterward to get Magic Boosts, and the win rate was pretty high. XD.

Xemnas for me just takes patience. You can't hack and slash mindlessly like some of the other Data fights. Lots and lots of gliding in, getting a combo then gliding away again. This is the majority of the first battle. The second battle is more cumbersome because he starts throwing those stupid spheres that we saw in the first Final Mix. XD In general I used the same strategy, but you may have to heal more often if you try to get around his spheres to get to him. It's not impossible, but the spheres have weird trajectories and will sometimes hit you.

Play it out calmly and don't be reckless, and a win isn't too far from reach.

thanks for the tips guys, Roxas took me a bit to beat him. He is pretty easy, except for one move... when he throws his keyblades at you, that's what usually kills me. When he catches you in it you're most likely to die. So i usually use trinity to counter it, anyone else try it?
Also, when he does Dual Bout & when i win (which is very unlikely) i tried to use limit form & Sonic Raid but i always miss, maybe it's just my bad timing.
But i did win like 5 times in a row, which i think is pretty good. For the moment anyway, i'm getting better. :D

I actually beat Xemnas on my first try by pure luck. For the first battle i just spammed the limit form & Sonic Raid (the dash thing). It passes his guard & i used dogde roll to dodge his attacks. That works pretty well.

For the second battle, well... this is where i got lucky. I can't remember each part but i used Riku's n' Sora's limit a lot... by mistake. :p
It helped & i killed him in a few minutes. But i've never won since. (well i tried it once or twice afterwards). So i'll try you're guide XxxXehanortxxX.

But i'll focus on Roxas for now.

Edit: Actually Axel is a lot quicker to do & probably easier. I'll do him instead. :D
