The light shined brightly in the once vast dark room. The light had flickered on from someone’s touch. Roxas had shifted around the blankets and finally peered one of his eyes out, trying to adjust to the light. Some guy stood in front of him, in a dark trench coat. The laces dangled off his coat as he was leaning over, poking at Roxas. Roxas became somewhat irritated and sat up, rubbing his now sore eyes in the blinding light. “What is it?” he asked, somewhat sleepily. The hooded figure removed his hood. He had spiky red hair, olive green eyes, and two green markings underneath his eyes. His smile was heartwarming. “Hey there Roxas… Xigbar and Luxord are on their way up,” Axel said, blinking slightly through the words that passed through his lips. Roxas had a confused face, and could barely see… He rubbed his eyes once more and looked over at his digital clock, and saw the red number lit across the panel, saying that it was six thirty in the morning. He gave an irritated growl and looked back at Axel “Why would you wake me up this early? Tomorrow is our day off,” he moaned, slightly loud as he lay back on his bed, throwing the blankets over his head. He wished to go back to sleep, but he also wondered what Axel had in mind. Part of him wanted to know, and the other part wanted him to go back to bed.… Axel scoffed and got to the foot of Roxas’ bed. He smirked slightly and put his hands on the soft blue and black blanket. He wrapped the soft fabric through his fingers and yanked at the blanket, sliding it off within a second from Roxas’ bed. “Ax-!” Roxas almost yelled but Axel had jumped on his bed, covering his lips from yelling. Axel looked serious and didn’t want Roxas to make a fuss. He removed his hand and put his index finger up to his own lips, making a “Shhh” sound. “Do you want the whole castle to hear you?” he asked, rhetorically. Roxas scowled softly and tried to push Axel off him. Of course, Axel was heavier than he was, and couldn’t seem to budge him. Axel chuckled somewhat, until he heard three pecks at the door. He got up and off Roxas to open the door. Luxord and Xigbar were standing there with a bag full of sharp cans... “Axel, what is going-” “Shhh!” he hushed… Roxas looked startled as Axel started whispering something to Luxord. He exchanged a few looks with Roxas and nodded his head a few times. Roxas was confused to the maximum now. He had a few questions that rummaged through his head. He took a deep breath, trying to recollect what Axel had said so far… First of all, why did Axel wake him up, letting him know that Xigbar and Luxord were coming up? Why did Axel want him awake at this early? Why had they both been carrying a bag with cans? And why was Axel whispering instead of saying it aloud? Axel continued to whisper to Luxord until Xigbar has ended the almost silence with a slight bang on the desk in Roxas’ room. He had already rummaged through the bag he had and pulled out a white can, which had a certain label to it. It read in big red letters “Tolerant”, the new alcohol drink that had come out within the past week. It was already flying off the shelves and was very hard to get…Rumors were, that it was very strong, and even two cans could get someone off their rocker. Roxas’ eyes got wide and his mouth was hanging down. “Oh no, Get out!” Roxas shouted. It was very loud, but Axel had seemed to get to Roxas once his sentence was completed. Axel rushed his finger up to his lips once more and said “Shhh” “Axel. I’m not a fan of alcohol… Please, get them out,” Roxas said nervously. His fingers twitched around the new can that Luxord had shoved into Roxas’ hand. Roxas let out stifled murmurs as he was shaking slightly. Axel had already popped one open and gulped down a swig of it. His eyes dilated and his expression changed. “ Roxas, come on, it’s our day off now, we can do what we want,” Axel said chuckling. His words were already slurred and Roxas took a slight breather. Luxord had already downed one in ten seconds flat, and Xigbar on his first few drinks. Roxas didn’t want to feel like the odd one out, but he didn’t want to break the rules of the castle that Xemnas had laid down. Roxas was now stuck between two choices… or perhaps three if it got out of hand. One, don’t drink and actually be smart… Two, drink and become a drunken member and be disliked by some of the members… or three, still don’t drink, and end up babysitting them all until they become sober, or crash out on his bed… Or he could have a fourth option, which is kick them out and go back to bed, but all that would cause is some sort of ruckus, that Roxas didn’t want to start. His index finger lifted over the top of the can. Roxas could feel the adrenaline kicking in, as he lifted the tab on the can, hearing the slight hiss of the fresh beverage opening up. Roxas pulled the tab the rest of the way, hearing the click as it tore open. Roxas held it close to his lips. The smell was fantastic. Not like some disgusting beer that tasted horrible, it smelled some sort of floral essence, and it made him eager to try. He put his lips around the ring of the can and took a slight sip of it. His taste buds were probably singing at the first time they met the beverage. Roxas seemed to like this flavor. It tasted like sour apple, and it was something that he had never tasted before in an alcoholic beverage. But as the flavor and drink got warm, savoring in his mouth, he swallowed, feeling somewhat of a burning sting, which felt not only hurtful, but pleasurable at the same time. Roxas coughed slightly and smiled at the pleasurable drink he’d almost missed out on… He took another drink and swallowed it, feeling some sort of dizziness burst into his mind. It became a little foggy and cloudy. Wow, he thought. It really had been a knockout. It was already making him feel buzzed by the third drink, which he took right after swallowing the second. He looked over at Axel, and saw he was just sitting, drinking a little more. He looked unaffected though. He set the drink down on his desk and walked over to Luxord, smiling a bit and whispering something into his ear. Luxord cackled somehow. That drunken man probably had something up his sleeve. Roxas twitched his fingers around the can, ready to take another drink. He held it up to his lips, and let the drink slide past his lips and through his mouth… He let the flavor soak in this time before swallowing. Everything got foggier for him, and he could barely see straight. Where Axel was sitting, the view soon moved around him, like he was on a roller coaster. He went up and down, side to side, and he felt somewhat nauseous. Roxas had stood up, only to fall back. He felt some light breath come from hi chest, and felt himself laugh. It was so early and he didn’t even remember much of waking up, only that he just wanted to drink the alcohol after he took a whiff of it. Xigbar had walked over to Roxas, pulling the can away from him. “Okay little guy, you’re drinking that down like it’s going out of style,” Xigbar laughed. He seemed to not be drunk yet. His face looked unaffected. Maybe where he’d probably had years of experience. Luxord however, probably drank these all week long, and still it only took him a few swigs and he was higher that who knows what. Roxas grabbed the can again, laughing it off, with slight wheezing laughs. He somehow found everything to be funny. “Okay, okay Xiggy. I’m fine… I’m so fine.. I’ll be fine!” Roxas cackled. He knew he was drunk, and he couldn’t stop himself from doing some of the things he was doing. He stood up and stretched, but accidentally hit the door.. He chuckled and walked out of the door, looking down the hallway, seeing no one. It was dark, and the slightly light from the crack of dawn shined through the curtains. Roxas looked back at Luxord and Xigbar standing up and walking over to the door… Axel walked over to Roxas and put his hand on his shoulder. “They’re gonna go play the big prank on Larxene,” he said, laughing slightly. Roxas shrugged him off and walked out of the room, looking at the door in front of him. The two drunken members had already entered her room and shut her door. Roxas could barely see the roman number XII on the door, indicating that it was Number Twelve’s room. Roxas had walked over to the door, almost falling, and put his ear up to the door. He could barely hear a muffled yell and some rummaging around. A loud thud hit against the door and Roxas jumped back, scared. He opened the door, to see Luxord and Xigbar gang up on Larxene, actually fighting her! Roxas shook his head, and felt a weakness in his stomach. He gagged slightly and held his hand over his mouth, holding his other against his stomach, to try and ease the nervousness… He soon felt a little anguished but a little better. He got out his keyblade, barely, and hit Xigbar with it, hopefully it was Xigbar, but the first swing he took he missed. Instead of swinging across, he tried downward, on the thick vague fogged shadow, which was Xigbar. He hit him and then pulled him off Larxene. Larxene finally got her lips freed from his grasp and scared out, fighting off Luxord. Roxas had a hard time finding Larxene, considering that she and Luxord had blonde hair. They were all fogged and he couldn’t make out who was who, but when he noticed that Larxene wasn’t wearing her organization trench coat, and instead some little night wear, he was able to know who it was. Roxas swung his keyblade over at Luxord, striking his head. He felt the sharp pain and jumped back off Larxene. Roxas grabbed Larxene’s upper arm and helped her up. He could hear the protest as she complained about her ankle being sprung. Roxas had helped her on the bed, almost tripping himself… Luxord and Xigbar soon stood up, and pulled Roxas to the ground, dragging him out of sight, and back into his own room.
By reading this, it was very long to my eyes (which I like:) ) But there shoud've been paragraphs but it was okay if it didn't, reading it was funny to me because of the beginning and with the cans. Keep the great work:)
Roxas had soon wandered around the castle, finally, able to sober up somewhat. His vision was better and he seemed to enjoy the soberness. Heh, that made him actually think about what he had done. His head still ached and his stomach still felt anguished. He had walked in through the castle, watching as only a few members had exchanged smiles. Luxord and Xigbar didn’t even bother. Axel however, didn’t even say one word to him. Roxas didn’t think it was fair. Here, Axel had come in the middle of the night, or rather; the crack of dawn, and just let Xigbar and Luxord barge in with the alcohol, and allow him to drink it. Hell, if they weren’t drunk then they wouldn’t have made such a ruckus… Roxas had took a deep breathe, finally reaching the staircase, after walking around the third floor of the castle. He walked down the staircase. At the end of the staircase, the kitchen came into view. Roxas looked at Larxene sitting at the table, reading some sort of book. She had on a pair of black glasses, and he could see her eyes wander around the pages of the books. Roxas walked over to the fridge and pulled out an apple as he walked across the end of the table. Larxene had looked up. “Oh Roxas!†she said startled. She closed her book, keeping her thumb on the last page she had read. She pulled her glasses off and smiled… It was rarely when she smiled and Roxas actually shrugged it off, trying not to get used to it, because usually the next day, she’ll probably hurt him. Her mind seemed slightly clattered though, as if, he had saved her from something evil that would hurt her. Well, actually it sort of seemed that way, but he doubted that Xigbar and Luxord would actually hurt her. “What is it Larxene?†Roxas asked his voice calm and slightly fragile. His thoughts were only on her now, her lips that curved into the smile, and her eyes that seemed glossy from the wetness. It was better to see her angry than happy. It was too creepy for Roxas to think about it. She used to be angry all the time, because usually Xigbar would annoy her, and made her personally like that towards everyone else, and he would never recall seeing her, actually smile! It was creepy, but he thought maybe that made his day. “Umm, I never, thanked you, for this morning,†she said, her eyes lined up with her smile. She looked like a little kid after getting some candy. Her eye’s blinked slowly, and Roxas could feel the anticipation growing in his stomach and in his head. His lips curved into another smile. “It’s fine Larxene…†he said. He took a bite of the apple and sat down on the table, only to be accompanied by Zexion and Marluxia. They had come up from the underground floor, where the training room was. Roxas smiled as they started talking slightly. They were talking to Roxas, but all Roxas could do was stare at Larxene’s smile. It was so heartwarming, and so inviting, that Roxas just couldn’t stop. Her smile had curved up more and her teeth bore along with a laugh, as she put her finger under his chin to lift her eyes. “Roxas, Marluxia had a question,†she chuckled. Roxas rubbed his eyes. His thoughts of her pleasurable smile had faded. His eyes turned over to Marluxia’s oncoming smile. Roxas smiled. “What exactly happened last night? By what I hear, you were the one who supplied the alcohol and got them drunk,†Marluxia said. Roxas’ eyes glimmered unhappily. He looked back at Larxene, whose smile seemed lost in thought. Her eyes looked saddened now, and it looked like her heart had broken down. Roxas had gotten slightly angry at himself now. “No… That’s not what happened. Axel had come into my room, knocking on my door, and told me that Luxord and Xigbar were on the way up. I tried to go back to sleep but Axel wouldn’t let me, so they came up, brought the alcohol with them, and Axel gave me one. The floral essence was so… It was very indescribable. But something just made me want to try, so I did and yeah. Then Axel said that Xigbar and Luxord were gonna play a prank on Larxene, so that’s when I came in to help her. They dragged me back in my room, and, the rest I’d rather not talk about,†he said, cupping his hands. His eyes wandered around the room and a slight cough soon came into the air. Zexion looked at him, his eyes glowing slightly. “Roxas tell me what happened before I read your mind,†he said, in a non-caring way, but it was somewhat caring in a way. Zexion had smiled somewhat in a sinister and plain way. Roxas probably had no other choice but to tell them. He promised Axel he wouldn’t say anything, and if Xigbar and Luxord had found out that he told, and then he would get in even more trouble. He looked down and tried to think of a lie… “After I got back, I drank more, not even knowing what was going on,†he said. Zexion hadn’t believed him, one bit. He could tell something bad had happened, and that Roxas wouldn’t admit it. His eyes continued to glow, and Zexion looked in his book, at a spell that he had learned a while ago. He would use it to go through Roxas’ mind. He said it, as low as he could, and felt his mind wander around Roxas’. He wandered to the point after they ganged up on Larxene earlier that morning. He found out the plain hard truth, but couldn’t really say anything, he was appalled. His mind soon vanished away from Roxas’ and paid slight attention to him. “I’m going to go train a little with Saix and Xemnas, they needed to train with me before they send me n an important mission tomorrow,†he said with a smile. He got up and left the table, leaving Zexion, Marluxia and Larxene sitting there wondering. “I don’t believe that’s really what happened,†Larxene said frowning somewhat. Her eyes wandered over to Zexion. His eyes were still glowing. Her eyes lightened up. “Zexion did you see?†she asked, as she stood up over the table, both her hands on the table so she could express her anger. Her eyes looked dim and horrific now. Zexion shut his eyes slightly and nodded his head. His thoughts clouded against the memory playing back in his head. He looked around and saw Marluxia and Larxene look at him with worry. He took a deep breath. He couldn’t seem to get it passed through his lips. “They hurt him, pretty bad throughout his back,†he said, his eyes a little disappointed. He never knew of Luxord or Xigbar to hurt anyone, intentionally towards the organization. Larxene tipped over her chair in anger and stumbled towards the staircase, ready to go find one of them and actually hunt them down. Zexion and Marluxia stood up and each got on either side of Larxene, pulling at her. “Larxene no, they’ll only hurt him more!†Zexion said, pulling back at her. In her eyes danced fury of fire. It was the worst thing that anyone has done to him and it would not be just done and over with, no! Larxene would hunt them and literally hurt them. “Stop it! I’m going to kill them all!†she shouted. “Kill who?†Axel asked, appearing behind them. Zexion looked back, still having his slight hold on Larxene. His face formed in an anguished angry look. His eyes stared hard at him. Axel stared back at him, giving him the same face. “What!?†he asked, in a way which made him feel offended. He let loose of Larxene, and pulled himself away. Marluxia did the same, as Larxene turned around and cracked her knuckles briefly, then ran at Axel, drawing him onto the floor. She held her kunai at his throat and used lightning to immobilize him. His throat was merely a centimeter away from her kunai. “Don’t you ‘what’ me you *******!†she shouted. Her anger rose up in her eyes and the flames danced around as if it were a celebration, the celebration of Axel getting tortured to death. Axel tried to push her off but every time he moved, she would shock him. “You think you’re big and tough now huh!? You have no freaking idea! Why would you even dare to hurt Roxas, he’s you’re best friend!†she shouted. Her anger kept loosening up and soon she wouldn’t have anything to say. Axel’s eyes blinked and he tried to make up an excuse. “I didn’t hurt him! Xigbar and Luxord did!†Axel yelled. “Oh! So you just sat by and watched them hurt him! Could you even hear the cries and wails he made every time they hit him!? I could actually hear them, when I read his mind,†Zexion argued back. Axel swallowed hard, his eyes wandering around. “I was drunk Zexion! Even if I wanted help him I couldn’t!†he shouted. “Roxas saved me and he was drunk! You’re just a cowardly *******! Roxas is more of a man that all of you put together, so take that and get it memorized,†she said, pushing herself off him. She walked off, still angry… Now, the hunt began on Luxord and Xigbar.
