Personal Comments Spoiler I'd like to first say this is my first time for a 5-minute video, for a voice-acting-included video, and for a Kingdom Hearts video. The song is my favorite and I started imagining it up last summer during my Review. The reason it took long was that I have other priorities and of mental blocks. Since I made use of the classic Windows Movie Maker 2, I have to cope with a lot of difficulties and inconvenience. First was the need to add the voice. I have to first make it match the song, then do a new project and finally add the voice. Make it a movie then import it, then add it to the real project. Not only did I have to download and view many times multiple videos, I have to repeat processes multiple times. Might I also add that WMM has a hobby of hanging by itself and WMP wouldn't play if I skip through it (so if it's a 3-min clip/vid long, I MUST watch through it to see even just the ending). The effects also bugged me, because some clips didn't go well with it, so I have to edit it a couple of times. There also used to be more flashes, but I got rid of them because it's painful in the eyes. I had to manipulate a single editor for sounds, which can only control the volume for the voices. This means I have no way of getting rid of the background music of the scene the line was acted, so I tried my best to make the real song somehow cover up the background music and yet have the line voiced out very audibly. You should be able to hear 5-8 music ringing when the line is said. Namine's early lines have music in them, one of which I was just too lazy to fix XD The start is my favorite, mainly because the graphics were CGI animated and required no voices XD I did enjoy and pat myself for the battle scene of the end. NONE of the clips or lines were lazily put together. They were all editted from different clips. If you compare the real Roxas-Sora battle and this one, they're very different. I did my best to make it as if they battled a whole different scene. Most of all, I made sure the lines made sense with the flow as if to say a whole different thing. My personal favorite line would have to be, "Roxas: I hate you..." "Sora: That's really getting old!" "Roxas: So much!" If you're curios, Roxas' said that to DiZ and Sora said that line to Saix. This is the kind of editting I do :D I had difficulty finding lines for the battle because Sora rarely get serious and I couldn't find good lines that would sound as if he was addressing Roxas while Roxas' lines were covered with music and he sounded nicer. Other lines I could have used were already included in the vid. Video Explanation Spoiler Naturally, there's a STORY behind it! I mean with the voices and all, haha. So basically I wanted to tell something about Roxas. Yes, I'm a big fan of his, but I felt there was little conflict between Roxas and Sora, when there should have been. It's not a fault, story-wise. It could be looked as if Roxas completely vanished that conflict could never happened, but in another angle - the angle I want to portray, Roxas has a one-sided conflict. Naturally a story has to be told from the start. I first of course showed some flashy stuff xD It was necessary for me to separate the CGI animated clips and the 3D clips, because they simply don't fit together. The character graphics are all right, but the lightnings and backgrounds are something to complain about. Way too different. As you can see, there was barely a Sora except for a few scenes, then we emphasize on his friends and we get to see Axel and even hear him several times. This incited the change that suddenly led to the truth. I think I made a powerful conversation here when the truth came out: "Namine: Don't you want to know the truth?" "Roxas: Nothing else really matters anymore..." "Namine: About who you really are?" and I made sure to emphasize that Roxas' life has been a fake, with the lines from the song "The truth and the lie". And there was, "Namine: He [Sora] needs you" "Roxas: My heart belongs to me!" to make sure, to make everyone believe that he hasn't given up, or at least completely accepted the fact he was just a Nobody. Then later on, as you can see, there's less of Roxas and suddenly more of Sora. I didn't have to start Sora's story. Aside from the fact I won't have enough space, it's like told from Roxas' perspective. Here you live life like this, and then some 'stranger' came into your life. In fact, Sora's first scene in the clip is either the hero or the antagonist, depending on which character you side on. I really made sure there was conflict, but as you can see, it's really one-sided. Sora's constantly addressing the Organization, while Roxas seems to be fighting in vain. Although there's a scene as if they're talking to each other and fighting, I don't think this is enough to be said true because Sora never knew Roxas in the first place! So, it is indeed a one-sided conflict! Another conflict is between Roxas and the Organization. There's one scene where Sora is seen to be replying, but it was actually Roxas who replied, shouting, "Shut up!". I wanted to portray how Roxas' anger and passed to Sora, just as Ansem/DiZ told him. Though not everyone apparently despised him like Luxord, showing a hint of melancholy, you can still imagine how the tendency is is to generalize if you're going to let out a single feeling. Later on, I made sure it was more Sora-centered so that we can finally take a glimpse of his angle...but more importantly then, emphasize Roxas' disappearance. What he has experience turns to gray (Grayscale) as if fading away. We see prominent events in Sora's life instead. Again, Roxas, now black-robed, initiates conflict, with Sora now showing resistance than apathy. There's a long scene pretty much numbering down the Organization members. Nothing really important, but they have to be seen xD And then, I made Roxas' fading final. I put clips of his time in Twilight Town with voices of Sora, Riku, and Kairi in Destiny Islands. The faster clips actually have an order. I cut Roxas' first meeting with Sora to several clips, inserting important people in Roxas' life in between in between them. And then suddenly, the stronger Sora and his friends' voices get, the more these memories vanish and we see lots of Sora scenes. And so Roxas makes his final move. That's the final battle. The lines spoke for themselves, especially the end. If ever you did not think of any or most of the stuffs I wrote down while watching the vid, it's okay xD Maybe I'm just putting it in my own words, and you've put it in your heart in a different language!
