I own a Coby MID 9042-8, runs on Android 4.0.3, Kernel version 3.0.8+, it's a pretty nice tablet considering that my grandmother had given it to me for Christmas. There's only one problem with it (aside it being slow) it doesn't have Google play preinstalled. I have tried a couple a few programs and they haven't seem to be working i was hoping KH-vids.net could help my out.

Here's the method i have been doing:

    P.S. - Really don't want to root

Ok there's a few things that could work.
The best way would be rooting and installing smoothrom which comes with the play store.
But since you dont want to do that, heres a solution.
    (note: I haven't tested this)
    1. Go to this link on your tablet and download the file.
    2. It should be in your downloads, so use the file manager on your tablet and look for the downloads folder.
    3. In the folder, you should see "Google Play Store 3.10.10.apk".
    4. Just open and install it.

    Tried it,
The app stops then closes as soon as it was opened
Is the rooting process simple because i had just enough with this tablet

Not all, but it is supported on the Coby Kyros.
Here's a guide to get you started.
It's not for your exact model but it works the same.
