Wow. That's really horrible. He was awesome, funny, and quite smart.

    May he rest in peace.

George Carlin was one of the few people I can say I really admired and hoped to someday meet in person. He was so inventive, wrote all his own material and was a very peaceful man, despite how sometimes he'd get ornery on the stage. He had important messages even while some of it was offensive to some people and he's just going to be missed. Witty, obnoxious, stomping on political correctness, defender of cuss words, bashing personal beliefs and the government...he was an awesome man. One of my heroes died. :(

    RIP George Carlin.

Man, I loved his roles as Rufus in the "Bill & Ted" movies/animated series.

And I remember him as "Mr. Conductor" from PBS' "Shining Time Station." Him blowing that train whistle of his was always magical and his storytelling was mesmerizing.

I've never actually seen his comedic performances, though. So I'll remember him as the lovable actor that is and always will be. :D

What to say about ol' Georgey?

He had a really insightful, depressing, intelligent, strange, different, and unique way of looking at things. And on top of that, he made it funny beyond reason, which is why I liked him so much. His humor will continue to shake floors and stadiums he performed in for much time to come. I know I'm certainly going to be showing my kids this guy. And hopefully they will like it like I did. xD

You can see quite a few of his stand up performances on Youtube if you just do a George Carlin search. I've found quite a few of them there for those who aren't familiar with him beyond his acting roles.

I feel really sorry that the world has to lose another great, intelligent comedian.
He was great at the New Orleans the night he performed, and seeig George go dow like this is sad.

Let him rest in peace. RIP.
