Really liking the atmosphere it's set for itself. I do so enjoy games that become an art form.
Looking forward to continued updates on the title

This game is borderline copying Ico. The scene where he fights the shadows with a stick, the fact that the kid looks like The Last Guardian kid and some other similarities. The fact that he wakes up on a beach makes it seem like this might be an Ico sequel. Actually, Ueda might have worked on this, now that he's a freelancer.

Still, the artstyle for this game is really great, definitely following the game.

I'm a bit worried this could be boring, as lovely at it looks. I don't see the ability to care about this main character or his goals apart from explore the place, and unless you get some tangible reward it'll be a giant sandbox.

Still keeping my eye on it.

    I don't suppose you've played Journey?

    Yes, and it was great.

The problem is, this game doesn't look to have a goal or tangible reward so far.
In Journey, your silent goal is to reach the summit of the lit mountain. You gained rewards each time your scarf would grow, as you progress. You could meet random people online and communicate in a difficult yet charming and beautiful manner. Even Ico had you escort someone, a fragile and close relationship you care about between the characters.Comparatively, this looks completely solitary. These games with lovely art style and simplicity usually need some emotional depth to them for them to be entertaining, and that's my only concern about this game,t hat it may lack a lot of that.

Dude, it's just an announcement. All it is is a teaser to get a taste for what the game could be and might lead to. And the exploration seems to be used as a mechanic to reveal the story rather than "oh hey explore the island because you can because this game has no point." Nobody would buy that. It's shown that there are other beings and there seems to be depth and mystery to the island. Kind of like Myst. Actually, exactly like Myst.

    What even...

Dude, it's a teaser. The Last Guardian's reveal was vague as heck and every one wants that game still.

To be fair, Team Ico had a far better track record when The Last Guardian was announced compared to what Tequilar Works have right now. Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are some of the best games ever made, Deadlight though? Not so much.

I'm stating concerns about stuff not yet revealed. I'm not going to simply say i'm sold on an announcement teaser trailer or get hyped over it, because I don't feel like that when I watch this. I'm not saying it's going to be terrible, or stating any other opinion as fact. I said i'm worried it won't meet my expectations for it.

And Last Guardian is likely going to be a let down, since this much time in development hell usually results in a poor game. But it has little in common with this game anyway.

And then stated he's still working on the game as a freelancer. Several times.

Ueda is still working as a freelance director on it, Sony confirms it's still in development.

So that's that about Last Guardian, let's stay focused on Rime.

Why are those the only two options? Why is it impossible to take a teaser like this and instead of trying to play critic before the game itself is tangible, we talk about the art style, why it's interesting, and how it's not something we often see? Oh wait, it isn't. Gamers just like behaving like binary kids.

I already commented on the art style, that I like it, not much of a discussion there since I'm sure everyone would agree. If not, I recommend a discussion.
Also think it's interesting but that it may not be. That's an initial opinion on a trailer, not a comment on the final product.
I also think since we've compared this game to Ico, Wind Waker, Journey and I'll add Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons into the mix of what it's like included in the other artsy games around. It's not got enough so far to be seen as unique for me, since the title description of it suffices well enough. It looks like two past games merged together, and not something newly created. And we're seeing more of these types of games these days because of Indie developers having more accessibility to create and distribute their games.

Like others have said, it's a teaser trailer, there isn't enough to analyse any more than we already have.

This is looking really good! Definitely getting a Wind Waker and Okami vibe from it. Wonder if it will see a release this year.

I wonder if it's get a physical release. It looks top. I'd definitely include it in a PS4 library.
