Do you mean when he does "Dark Aura" (I think thats its name, based on the CoM name) its the move where he dissapears and then begins warping around dashing at you blindingly fast?

If thats your problem, then just jump, and float around the battle until he finishes. You may have to jump several times.

It was a tough fight on hard mode, but I beat him on my first try, barely.

Oh, and I used Oblivion against him, yes you can too, just go up the right sid of the room hes on, try not to walk towards the middle too much, as that innitiates the fight.

There's a place on the forum called the help section.

As far as this battle goes, I'd say it's best to just glide around when he does his "Dark Aura" move as ICSP called it. Just glide and try to dodge his uber-attacks, and land and then immediately start up again if you get too low. As long as you survive these parts, you should be fine if you keep potions and mega-potions in stock and have at least cura.

Time to move... And yes, there's a help section, thanks for finding all these threads, Orange. :)

    -MOVED-

And use the keyblade with the chocobo on the chain... *forgot what one it is* That saved my life.

    ^ That'd be metal chocobo.

And yes, I'd advise that too, it's the best one at this point in the game.

Use Aerora at the beginning as well, that's immensely helpful. And be sure to have guard equipped, that way you can deflect his attacks and get a few quick hits in when you need too. I'm pretty sure you'll have time for a full combo if you successfully deflect one of his jumping-ish attacks.

By this point, you should already have MP rage and Cure if I'm not mistaken, just cure a lot if all else fails...

    It's that time again!

Make sure Guard, Counterattack and Ars Arcanum are equipped. Magic shortcut Cura and Aero. Have MP Rage equipped. Avoid attack spells as they won't work. To avoid the Dark Aura attack, High Jump and Glide around until Riku settles down.

If he tries using Strike Raid, either dodge it or knock it right back at him.

Ars Arcanum when you knock him off balance. You'll deplete his HP quickly, but you'll drain your MP as well. Make sure you conserve MP to cast Cura and Aero and use Ars Arcanum only if you have an overabundance of MP, or if Riku is close to defeat.

i don't think you can. if i remember correctly, there was a scene before the fight of sora and them running up the stairs and donald and goofy getting knocked out of the fight area by riku or by running into the barrier. and there's a way of avoiding dark aura altogether. just run all the way to the right until you touch the barrier. there should be a small part that he can't get you at all.

I thought I did, hmm... Maybe I'm confusing it with the Behemoth battle...

If it is then, oops, sorry.

Hercules' keyblade is reccomended. Also, you might simply want to fight some enemies to lvl up.

Jump, Jump alot, alot of his moveds are easily avoided with a long ass jump, and glide when he starts to warp around the area, sonic raide or any other limit attack will make you immune to his skills, the longer they last the better, and bring an elixer.
