Is this really a tragedy?

I mean there's really not enough information to make assumptions. Until one of them starts talking then there's really nothing to say about it that won't confuse anyone with obscene rumors.

 

I just can't see Chris Brown doing that. I think it may be some money grubbers makin rumors for they're 15 mins of fame

That's a completely different story than what I've been hearing. The bite marks and the bruises are the only part I find true from this story from what I've heard by outside sources. Supposedly, Rihanna gave Chris Brown an STD, and so he beat her out of anger.

Now, I'm not saying that this is any more true than the story above, but that's just what I heard.

But I really do think that he should at least say something. I mean, not even coming out and saying that he didn't do anything either? If he has, correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard him speak a word about this to the public.

What exactly was going through Brown's mind when this happened?

I am going to sound like such a ***** here but I don't care.

It is very easy to go "Awwww poor Rihanna how horrible for her" but you don't see all the thousands of unknown women (and men) who are beaten daily getting this amount of support and attention do you?

I do feel bad for her, I really do, but none of us were there and so none of us can say exactly what happened except for those two.

If this was just some random woman and her boyfriend who had a domestic then I bet none of this hype and outrage would have come about.

If they weren't famous then it wouldn't been seen as anything. It's the media hunting for a story and dragging in music drones to the socially fake lives of celebrities.

 

Well, I don't think anyone deserve to be beaten up for no reason. But really, I didn't imagine Chris Brown as a typical next door girlfriend beater.

Agreed. 1000x agreed. I hate the hype that celebrities get just because they are "more talented" than "normal people". What makes them so much goddamn better than us? Seriously, news needs to get back to talking about things that actually affects the average person, not what one celebrity did to another. So like you said, CtR, talk about the thousands of abused women and (to a smaller extent) men in the USA, and focus on what we can do to help THEM, not celebrities.

I agree wholeheartedly. It is the same thing with Jade Goody who is dying of cancer before she hits 30. Yes it is really sad and all that, but what about the millions of other people around the world who are dying of cancer? Surely they are more important and in need of our thoughts and feelings than some woman is rich and famous for being famous?

I see your point, but the thread is getting sidetracked.

I will say one thing, the media is stupid for trying to destroy people's reputation and we are even stupid-er for making such a hype about it. Isn't being a celebrity another job to do in society they sing(or just make some catchy phrase and reapeat it),act, dance ect. for our enjoyment, their lifes are not ours to destroy or jugde.

Now back on track.

They did seem to be having some friction, I feel bad now that they still have that star tatoo. wonder what thei'll do with it.

 

As usual, with the hype surrounding the singers, everything is exaggerated and the full truth is not known. People can speculate but it's really just another domestic dispute and these things happen often. Whatever transpired, both stars will probably have their chances to explain and whether charges happen or not, that's up to someone other than us to decide. Whatever happened, they both seemed to be in a heated issue and bad temperament and well, to me that's between the two of them. Rihanna will be fine. I'm just glad that no one was hurt worse, and being who they are, there is actual help out there and a resolution that neither has to be with one another because they both actually have money etc.

I do hear what some people say about 'who cares because there's a lot of suffering that goes unnoticed' but while I get sick of the glam showy intrusive people into stars' lives etc, I do think it helps if we do see they have some troubles as it does sometimes make people pay more attention to those around them too. The thing here I find that is irritating is that people are bothering to speculate what happened since no one knows. Some people will take this speculation as fact and it's lame.

So much drama in the world of celebrities just lately! The pic Cupcake just posted is horrific!! I love Rihanna but I cant say nothing on either side cuz I dont know the whole story tbh no one does~

 

I had tried to find that photo after hearing that it had been leaked. Her injuries look pretty serious =/
