I've been hearing a lot about this and I was wondering what some of you guys think about it. I think that it honestly sends the wrong message to young girls and about domestic violence. If some didn't know, Chris Brown beat up Rihanna back in 2009 when they were together. Even though part of me feels that you can forgive and maybe forget, it still doesn't look right for someone like her to just start working with him again and possibly even hook up...I mean, really? It seems very wrong, and some people are even still in shock that she would consider doing something like this after all of the stuff that happened 3 years ago... Thoughts?
F*cking hell to the no. If she wants to act like he didn't beat her half to death only a few years ago, that's her choice. But I personally don't think he should be given a rat's piss of a second chance, especially after the way he's acted about the whole thing. Instead of humbly accepting his undeserved Grammy, he basically went "f*ck y'all haters, look I gotta Grammy so f*ck you". I mean, really? I can't honestly see how anyone can actually stand behind him and act like he's not one of the biggest ******bags in the music industry right now. He hasn't even tried to genuinely apologize for anything, and the way that people try to play down or gloss over what he did to her makes me absolutely furious.
@Annie Sawyer: Spoiler: Chris Browns fake or not fake still an attempt of an apology thing Do you have a specific source, out of curiosity (not rudeness)? That's her choice as an artist and as a woman. There is nothing anyone on this website will be able to do or say to stop it from happening. What bothers me the most about Rihanna and Chris Brown's situation are the people constantly bringing it up. It's annoying to see those judging her and claiming she was being an over-dramatic liar about the whole thing, and it's annoying seeing people judging him and claiming he's nothing but an abusive *******. Both of these artists are human beings. Chris Brown is not any more special than some random guy who hits his girlfriend one night and Rihanna is not any more special than some random chick who may or may not have gotten beaten one night. And by special I don't mean treatment-wise. I mean attention-wise. Being looked at under a microscope like they're...I don't know. Different. They're human just like the rest of us. Truth is, no know but them really, truly knows what happened that night. About the subject at hand, I don't believe it's any of my business to judge what may or may not be happening between them. If Chris Brown is going to sing with Rihanna, then alright. I don't think they sounded half-bad together, for the sort of collaborations they did in the past. If they're going to date each other, then that's their life and those are their mistakes. Everyone makes them, and unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. That's life. As for the young women and men looking up to Rihanna as a role model of sorts, that is an issue I believe their parents would have more of an influence over. Hopefully, they've realized Rihanna may not be the best role model and they've found another, like SELENA GOMEZ (giggle). If not, unless we know someone in this situation and can take an active part in guiding them in the right direction, all we can hope for is that their judgement doesn't reflect the mistakes of the superstars and that they head in a better direction. For myself personally, there's no need to flip out over this news. There are worse things happening in the world that have nothing to do with the 'private' lives of celebrities. :'c
^ this I don't think I could have said it better! Like, why do people have to bring it up so much, it's almost as annoying or unnecessary as the big deal made about Whitney Houston and her life, blah blah blah. Its time we give real people the attention and help they deserve instead of all of these celebrities that have taken advantage of their success and at times have wasted it as if it was something to be granted... -Oh and where you asking me about the source? I saw it online somewhere...sorry if I forgot to post it.
If a regular person did what Chris Brown did, they'd have at least 20 years in jail. He gets a slap on the wrist and free publicity. He isn't even that good a singer anyway.
