I think that is a horrible way to force people to buy the game new. What happens if you beat the game and want to start over? What happens if you don't like the game and want to get rid of it? It would appear that Capcom is not very fond of the used game business, using this to combat it. I heard that some stores will be taking it for trade-ins, but the amount is small.

Only one file, and you can't erase it, so you can't sell it, or replay it.

This...is a terrible idea. Capcom is really being stupid if they think this is a good idea. When I play a game and then beat it, I wanna play it over so I can check out things that I never saw before and wander around a bit more.

I... what. D: I don't play Resident Evil games but this just makes no sense.

That's ridiculous. Part of what I look into before I throw down money for a game is replay value. If I'm spending $50 on a game, I want to get $50 worth of entertainment, maybe more. And part of the fun in games after you beat them is starting a new save file to re-experience things, get things you missed, etc. They do realize that they're basically saying that that money you spend on the game is only good for one playthrough? Ridiculous.

I don't know about Resident Evil games specifically, but with games that have a lot of character customization paths, it's fun to have different save files with characters that have different strengths--in one you might focus on leveling their magic, another on their strength, etc etc. If games like that followed this model they would deprive players of the depth provided by the developers.

    This is just silly. :c
