I'm thinking of buying a nintendo ds (for the upcoming 358/2 days of course :D), but I want to know more about it first.
What is the usual cost of a nds and a game?
Can I use the wi-fi without a wireless router or a usb wi-fi connector, but only with the device itself? I mean just by having the ds and nothing else.
Something about the catridges that I don't understand, do I need to buy different catridges for each game? Or just one will do?

I would appreciate it if someone would answer these questions, thank you.

    Ello.
K first off a nintendo ds lite costs 130$
Games are like 35$ when they first come out. ex. phantom hourglass.
The ds has a wi-fi connection so if you have a wi-fi connection near you you can just wirelessly connect to it.
And by catridge you just mean what you buy that has the game stuff on it?

Sorry i'm a little confused. But for games like mario cart ds there thing on the game were it will find a wireless connection...wirelessly and then it will use it and for some games you can play online. Like mario cart ds,the legend of zelda phantom hourglass and of course hopefully kh 358/2 days.
    Get it?

    1. 130 bucks + 30 or so for a game. With tax, probably $165.
    2. Wi Fi requires internet. No exceptions. :P
    3. Each game has it's own cartridge, mate. They also store game data on them, which is nice. Sadly, if you lose the cartridge, you lose the data. ):

For the wi-fi if your lucky though you might have a wi-fi spot near you. I think on their site they have a thing were they show wi-fi hot spots or sumthin. If you want I can find you the link/

You need to be at least 10 meters near the hot spot/usb router / other DS

If your getting a DS just for the game, wait. Sooner or later some discount or better version will be out before it.
