Hello, everyone. I've not been in the code vault for a while, but I think it's time I re-posted this. I love Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and after beating it many times I have dubbed it one of my most memorable games. But, I've also loved the prospect of how one could modify the sprites and use characters not normally possible. After great searches(like 6 years ago) I finally found labmaster's guide and how it made such things possible for this game. A very happy moment. I made my own experimenting and even made some slight, if not pointless, breakthroughs, and it was great. After a while of experimenting, I found that some sprites do not have certain animations. So, I left my game, and called it a lost endeavor. A few other years ago, I resumed. I posted here for help and what not, but it's not easy imposing oneself on people. So, I was left fruitless. I left the game again, thinking it a futile attempt(after trying to do it myself)... Now I'm here again, asking for cooperation from any person skilled with sprites, animation and hacking in general. Is anyone willing to help out? If you do accept to help, then I'll explain in full detail. I really don't have any method of payment, but I'd be willing to return the favor, if possible.
are you asking for a custom sprite? or allow you to play as a NPC (like Llednar, totema etc.) FFTA is one of my if not all time favorite GBA games, and im interested as well (getting the Llednar code specifically >.>) but what specific sprite changing were you thinking?
I've played as the actual Llednar. And, here is the most basic method, if you want to modify anything else, you'd have to go to labmaster's gamefaqs guide to check I've played with Totema sprites, and also with Remedi and stuff, but there's one specific sprite that doesn't have a full set of animations required for battle, prince Mewt. He can be used in battle, and he can dish out summon magic and spirit magic, but his animation changes back-and-forth from prince to normal Mewt each time(this includes when he attacks). My request would be something to fix this. Also, the name mod. The tricky part of this, is making the codes for the actual game, not the emulator, which should be easier. My request is making a full-blown set of codes(ranging from name change, animations and skill-set) to make Mewt easily accessible.
So far I've gotten no one to help. C'mon guys, this can't really be all, right? I'm sure this may take a bit of your time, though. But, please help-cooperate with this. At least come discuss it with me, and we'll determine what course of action needs to be taken. I've seen skilled coders here, certainly a GBA game would be easy for you guys.
I'm really interested in Chevalier's idea. I really hope I could help but I can't. I'm sure someone who knows about this stuff can help you
