Not exactly a PG13 musical but I really need to talk about it. Went to see it live for the first time on tuesdasy and haven't been able to get it out of my head. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, google is your friend. My favourite soungs are Seasons of Love, Finale B and I'll Cover You (reprise). I really hope there are more "Rentheads" here.
I am indeed a RENThead. Amazing music, even more amazing musical. I'm jealous that you were able to see it live. La Vie Boheme and the opening are my favorites
It wasn't really a full production. An amature production, although you would have thought it was professional. I lol'd at your your avatar, someone needs to make that fanfic. I made my sig in like 30mins btw, I know it's aweful.
Just curious, where was the production? I tried to get my hs to put on RENT but they wouldn't because of a loophole or something. I tried to get tickets to the Broadway tour in Denver...but that didn't work out.
I loooove rent. I remember belting out the song in my friend's car last year. LOL But i've only seen the movie, and I don't think it's touring anymore. :[ But I shall see it during a revival of it, if there is one.
I live in Scotland, it was in Dundee at the Rep Theare. It's only on for a few days, my brother is on good terms with the person playing Mimi. They're doing the Fringe Edinbugh Festival later this month which is like that biggest Arts festival in Scotland or even all of Britain.
... I could start a flame war right now but I don't want to. And yes there is a lot of AIDS in RENT, what of it, it was the 80, loads of people had it.
I saw the movie it was pretty good my favorite song was and still is Glory My jr. High Chorus sung Seasons of Love to the freshmen moving on to the high school
Lucky!!! I've only seen the movie, and I really liked it. My brother saw it live the last time he was in NY, and laughed at my outraged scream of jealousy. Hopefully I'll get the chance to - if they come anywhere near Indiana I'm so getting tickets.
I've seen it only once or twice. The music is really good, but there's sooo much drama in that movie. That's great that you got to see a production of it. It must've been nice to go and see something like that.
I saw it on broadway not too long ago. Good stuff. I have also seen the movie, and I am getting my cousin interested. It's a really good musical, but it's not exaclty "PG-13" rated, like you said.
Rent was an alright movie. Saw it and thought "wow, this isn't a kid-friendly movie..." and continued to listen to the music I thought was innocent. Season of Love Rent I'll cover you Good songs :3
