How are you SUPPOSED to use a render?

Because when I used one, it had to be really really faint or else you could see the background...
EDIT: THAT wasn't the right pic... O.o

I use GIMP... anyone got any ideas/hints/help?

    ... I'm not THAT stupid
    :3

I meant, are you supposed to cut it out first? Or leave the big black background?

Usually renders dont have backgrounds o.o

Make sure when you look for renders, that it's in .png format. Or else it'll just be a picture with a background still on there. But with backgrounds, usually you just use the magic wand(or the gimp equivalent) to select the area and delete it.
