I've just hit a problem today for the first time when going to post today's quote: "Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another." – Napoleon Hill

    It's 153 characters. :x

@Misty: I don't mean to sound, uh, pushy, but if approved, any way this could be done today? LOL I could understand not removing it completely to prevent spam, but maybe at least increase the limit to, say, 250 characters?

Edit: For reference, the limit is 140 characters.

It's meant to mirror tweets, the 140 character limit isn't arbitrary.

So it's not possible to remove it is what you're saying, basically, correct? If not, any suggestions on how to go about today's quote?

I'm sure it's possible somehow but it defeats the purpose of the feature.

I found a workaround. I posted the quote as the user status and posted a comment with the author.

Anyway, in that case, can you lock and reject this, please?
